Just simply the most delicious BBQ you can find locally! My wife and I enjoy it so much that we decided to order their ribs, brisket, and chicken to share with our friends who joined us for my 65th birthday party. Topped it off with servings of their mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, and cornbread and everyone was super satisfied! The staff at j&l’s Everett location are super friendly and courteous…the quality of the food and service are superior. Everyone left the party with “doggy bag’s” enough for another meal and we had 31 folks at the party… that’s how generous the amount of food they supplied was. And to top it off, they loaned us a special stacking insulated container to keep everything hot for the party until we served up the meal.

If you are looking for Texas like bbq, look no further. I had the brisket with two sides meal and my mouth is still watering as I think of eating the brisket. It was moist, flavorful and had a bit of fat. Good bbq sauce. They have mild or spicy, I mixed both and really enjoyed it.

First impressions are so important, and I can assure you J&L BBQ did not disappoint! The BBQ was perfectly smoked and cooked (juicy, tender, and full of flavor). The sides were equally tasty. Between all of us we tried the beans, coleslaw, collard greens, tater salad, and Mac & cheese. No skimping on the serving and everything was delicious. The cornbread though? With cinnamon butter? Was an absolute game changer . Apart from the food being delicious, the customer service was AMAZING! The gals that helped us were super sweet and helpful. They both went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of considering it was our first time eating there. We’ll definitely be returning!

The best barbecue in Everett or even in the area at all. Authentic Texas smoked brisket is their signature but the sides are almost as good as the meal. And the cornbread with honey butter is amazing

Pretty good barbecue. I had the Tri tip sandwich with collard greens, which was medium-rare and nicely flavorful. The collard greens was also pretty great (be warned, it has pork chunks).

Thank you for the wonderful lunch! I had the briquette sandwich and the caviar for the side. My friend had the potato salad, it was with red potatoes and I was like I’m having that next time! Everything was amazing and the service was great! It was my first time and she explained the menu and what was popular. They were fast most importantly!

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and the macaroni… Sandwich had too much fat in it.. Macaroni was bland.. I was just hoping to find a good southern type barbecue spot but I guess I have to keep searching… Just didn’t remind me of back home in Alabama..

I love BBQ! The test is to try the brisket and if its moist, full of smoke flavor then it passes. J and L BBQ passed with flying colors! The BBQ sauce even is very delicious and the Spicy is on point. Its not hot and does not have a kick. But its just enough of a smooth kick about 5 bites in.
