Food and service was superb. You will find some creative dishes. Some dishes felt like they were a fusion of Japanese and Korean, and they were all fresh, tasty, and presented well. We were a group of five and we had to sit outside and the folding table and chairs were not very comfortable. I sat at the end with no leg room. I wouldn’t recommend eating here with more than four people. There’s a reason why this restaurant is always bustling. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Great place for dinner. Limited seating but the food was really good. Interesting for the bowls that they use a different kind of seaweed that’s not a flat piece but more like a weave. the uni and toro bowl was amazing. Also got the beef tan tan nabe soup that was also great. Skewers were nice and tender. The okonomiyaki was interesting in that it looked kinda like a square flat piece of sushi. Thought it was ok. The karaage and pumpkin salad was very good. Sea bass croquette was also good. Not too pricey eating alone but can certainly add up if eating family style. Waiters we’re very attentive and helpful with the placement of food when it came.

If you’re like me and for some strange reason crave good sushi on a Monday night, then Izakaya Osen is for you. One of the few, slightly more upscale sushi restaurants open on a slow Monday night, this restaurant definitely delivered on its promises. The daily house specials were priced fairly, though the uni which can be found in a multitude of dishes was not the freshest I’ve tasted personally. The uni was had a slightly fishy taste, but it wasn’t enough to render a bad review. Staff was timely and welcoming and the ambience was cozy. We were sat down in minutes after our reservation. I would recommend this to others!

@lydieats Look at these beautiful rice bowls Great quality food at a reasonable price point. The chirashi lunch was excellent. They sashimi felt super fresh and the rice was very yummy! It’s also kinda big so you should share if you want to try other dishes. We overdid it. The nabe is SUPER rich and has an amazing nutty flavor, but does get slightly overwhelming by the end of it. They take reservations for lunch!
