Normally I would NEVER give a bad review.. but I’m hoping this will help the restaurant. The food was very bland, overcooked and took forever to come out. I have to say, I’ve eaten at the Islands in Long Beach, and it was AMAZING! So I was really disappointed here. Especially because I hyped it up to my family and it was their first time here. They probably won’t be back. I, however, believe in second chances. So I’ll try again. If it’s better, I’ll absolutely change this review. Sorry guys…

The food was good. Amazing truffle fries. Couldn’t finish my drink and it’s kind of pricey for a family restaurant. We were told it was going to be a 20-minute wait, but it was more like 35 minutes.

Been going to Islands since they opened…I absolutely love the Hawaiian burger, the endless mugs of drinks, and the bottomless fries (until they recently took the endless fries away and blamed it on Covid…bring back the endless fries, and please, let’s stop blaming everything on Covid.

Despite having no reservation and two groups of seven people, we were seated within five minutes. The service was great and the staff were on top of refilling drinks. The service was great and we had extra sauces and to go boxes for some of our food. My only complaint would be the lack of paper menus since only one of us were scan the QR code on the table to access the digital menu.

Today 11/22/22 I was invited to Islands for the first time in West Covina. A group of 17 people. I was excited it smelled delicious as I walked up. So when our planner called to make a reservation the person on the phone said 1st come 1st serve. So here we are half the group does not have a table. This is not a good 1st impression. As long as I been sitting out here not once has the manager come to see if everything is ok. So this is all I ate. I expect a table to have lunch at a restaurant not a chair. And the chair no one provided one of the girls went to grab it. Not sure what the Islands chain has to say about this. This is the West Covina location, located on Barranca Ave.
