This hidden away Jamaican restaurant is fantastic! I had pineapple mango fried chicken and my husband had steamed fish with okra and plantains. The prices are surprisingly cheap and the portions are huge. They have a nicely decorated spacious dining room but do most of their business take-out so we had the dining room to ourselves on a Thursday night at 6 pm. The cook, a friendly Jamaican woman, brought the fish out and apologized for it taking a long time (she cooked it from scratch to order- it was enough for three people!). I am posting several photos showing how to find it from the parking lot that Google maps directs you to. You basically head toward the rectangular lit window in the first photo and take a left when you get to the row of lit shops. The restaurant is near the end of the row.

My husband and I just enjoyed a meal here. It’s hidden away from the main drag and might be over looked, the experience was worth the effort of finding it. The staff was super friendly And our server tiana was amazing and helpful. The food was delicious, the portion size was right for the price. We

My daughter and I was so excited when this restaurant opened as we miss eating Jamaican food. We ordered take out the day this restaurant opened. I ordered Oxtail. It was tough. Needs to be cooked down longer so the meat is tender and the fat melts in your mouth. Ordered Curry Chicken for my son. There was a lot of leg bones in the curry. The flavor was good though but a bit on the dry side. She ordered 2 dishes, one was Curry Chicken. Forgot what the 2nd dish was. She also said there was a lot of bones in her curry, too! What we both enjoyed the most was their Beef Patties and if we ever order from them again, we would get the patties.

Really great food that you won’t find anywhere else around here. I was shocked to find that I like jackfruit. This is a family run, mom n pop place. Service runs slightly on island time so go when you have some time to chill out. Would be a regular takeout place if we lived a little closer.

The people were very kind. They recommended to me a good, filling meal and a tasty drink! I had an Oxtail meal with rice, plantains and steamed veggies. Can’t wait to come back to try the rest of the menu!

This place is excellent! Staff is very friendly. I got the fish sandwich on coco bread. Portion size was generous and the taste was phenomenal! My fiancee got the pineapple mango chicken and that was awesome as well. Pricing was fair also. I’d highly recommend this restaurant, you will be pleasantly satisfied.

I have ordered many times and keep coming back, the food is incredible. I highly recommend the Oxtails and Jerk Pork. Always cooked fresh, perfect flavor, and large portions. The family that owns the restaurant is so nice. Island Vybz is a winner

Ladies and gentleman of Hunterdon County, welcome to the best food in the area. We are at West Indian/American family with high expectations of what Caribbean food should taste like. Everything is seasoned well. Lemonades are fire. My Trini husband wants to eat here daily. Done.

Great people and fantastic flavors! Several varities of sweet fried chicken, homemade lemonade, and other dishes. Coco bread was on point, and a peanut drop for dessert was a treat. Even the fruit salad side dish was terrific! They had two misses – the mac and cheese had a hard crust on the top – not really edible. They were nice enough to fry boneless chicken filets for me instead of the usual bone-in version. Unfortunately, the chicken was jerky-hard and dry…tough to chew. But the flavors were great and with the bone in the chicken, there was a world of difference (they had me try a small piece of it that way). Please go try this place – you will enjoy the food and the family there!
