This was my 1st time going, and overall, the food was O.K, a 6/10 at best. However, when you walk in the front, you are greeted by a pleasant smell and a very unpleasant and unhelpful cashier. Everything is prepared in the back, so you can’t see any of the food before you order. The menu price would be okay if the portion sizes matched. I ordered a Lrg Curry Chicken for $12.99, which is My #1 go-to (because if you can’t make curry, then im good on everything else). And my better half ordered a Lrg Ox Tail for $23.99. I think they both had about 4 little pcs of meat and a small amount of gravy. And a small amount of rice. The food was seasoned pretty good, and perfect for those who dont like too spicy foods. The cashier did not offer up any help but instead look at us like she was ready for us to go. The part that really aggravated me was when a “regular” walked in she became slightly more helpful and began whispering and telling them how to order and get more food. I will not be returning and do not recommend it for any new customers.

Horrible!!! You all should be ashamed of yourselves selling patties like that for full price. Ordered a spinach patty with coco bread. Literally a bite of spinach spread throughout the patty with no seasoning. Pure pastry and bread and the beef patties tastes like it came from Sams. Young lady in the front was very sweet though! But we won’t be going back to this place!!!!

I called before coming to ask the soup of the day. I was happy because the cashier said it was fish. So I order a large soup for $10. But the fish that was used was a fatty oily fish. It was kinda like salmon (I think) it was awful in the soup. I didn’t like it at all. One good thing. It wasn’t too spicy. But they should consider a white fish that is not so fatty. It had 2 little dumplings a piece of potato and carrot and a couple slices of green banana. Just too much broth and fatty fish.

Places like this really makes me miss NY. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and peas $14.99 for a small…never again. This is most likely great if you’ve never had good Jamaican food the jerk chicken had NOOOOOOOO FLAVOR, very disappointed but then again it is Conyers.

This was not good Jamaican food. I’m a Jamaican from up north where Jamaican restaurants are plentiful and since moving to GA it has been hard finding truly authentic Jamaican food. First of all I didn’t like the attitude of the cashier when I asked if they had beef patties left and she replied in a really condescending way asking me if I didn’t see that they were in the warmer. Upon walking in I didn’t see them at all, otherwise I wouldn’t have asked. Second of all I know inflation is upon us but if you’re going to charge so much make sure you’re food is top quality. The jerk chicken meal I hot tasted and looked old. The chicken was dry and barely tasted like jerk. It was not freshly made the day of at all. I’m pretty sure they bake the jerk chicken which means it’s not really true jerk chicken which is always done on the grill. The rice and peas was old as well. I could tell because the peas were dried out and rice did not taste fresh. The beef patties were good but the coco bread was dry and hard. I stopped at this place in the early afternoon which means the food should be nice and fresh so I know they are likely selling food from the day before. If you can’t make sure the food is made fresh daily then you should not bother selling it.

The food here is very good and is my go to spot for whenever I’m in Conyers. Not only is the food good, but for the price ? Extremely a win win. The cashier is pleasant and very sweet and the overall people who run the cook shop. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Conyers GA, you won’t regret it. Trust me ✅

I literally just got my food delivered through Uber Eats. I GOT THE OXTAIL DINNER. I GOT 4 OXTAILS FOR $15.99. ONE SPOON OF CABBAGE AND NO EXTRA GRAVY AS REQUESTED. IT SEEMS I GOT THE SCRAPS RIGHT BEFORE CLOSING. ON TOP OF THAT. THE JERK CHICKEN DINNER HAD 1 LEG AND A HALF PIECE OF UNDONE RED IN THE INSIDE SALMONELLA CHICKEN FOR $14.99. NOW THEY’RE CLOSED AND I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS. I HOPE THEY FIX THIS SITUATION WHEN I CALL TOMORROW OR I WILL DISPUTE THIS PAYMENT…. 1ST EXPERIENCE
