I wasn’t expecting much from Long Island in terms of Caribbean food but Island Jerk set the bar so low it might as well be under the building. 15+ dollars to get home and find TWO OXTAILS???? And not even big ones? No gravy on the rice (which was hard and dry btw). Cabbage was flavorless and sad. Only redeeming quality was the plantain. The reviews don’t lie. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

First I want to say I’m very particular when it comes to food. On that note my experience today at Island Jerk restaurant was incredibly. I had called the night before to place my orders of Jerked chicken, head goat soup, cornmeal porridge, callaloo and dumplings. When I got there my food was ready to go. Thank you for excellent customer service and very tasty food. I am very happy customer and I will definitely come back.

My bf ordered thru grub hub and the order was cancelled saying the restaurant is closed at 6pm when i called the woman who answered was nasty and said all day they are having problems with grub hub… one would think they would alleviate that problem since the morning poor customer service over the phone poor reviews just terrible.. i needed soup because im under the weather and this is the customer service u get make it make sense

BEST Caribbean restaurant hands down!! We had oxtail, ackee and saltish and steamed fish. They all were all absolutely amazing!! The taste of each meal brought us back to Jamaica! You could tell that lots of love and care went into every meal! Just like mama use to cook it!!

I was longing for some nice Jamaican restaurant food because I was tired of my own cooking. My husband introduces me to Island Jerk Restaurant and it is my choice when I don’t feel like cooking. The food is delicious , I could taste the love in the food. I fully recommend this restaurant, if you want real authentic Jamaican food.
