We ordered the only 2 items on the menu. Coconut Shrimp and Fried Fish … they were both good. The fish was our fave, very fresh. The downside was that they over charged. I mean $25 for 4 pieces of coconut shrimp and fries … it’s a bit much.

Fresh Blue Marlin and Coconut Shrimp. The batter for the fish was light and airy and delicious. The fish was super fresh. The coconut shrimp was good sized and had a great flavor without being too sweet. The tarter, cocktail sauce, and the sweet chili sauce was all on point. The owner was super friendly.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good Island Chef fish & chips were. The setup was modest and unassuming, but the owner was very confident in his product, which I respect. Definitely the best fried fish I had on Maui. The fish was so fresh, the batter was light and airy. I would actually drive the Road to Hana all over to eat here again.

We got the combo that came with fried fish and coconut shrimp. The fish was delicious! It was fried perfectly on the outside and the fish inside treated fresh and tender. The coconut shrimp was decent too but I liked the fish the best. It’s a pretty large plate so we split it between the two of us for lunch. This is a good stop if you’re hungry on the road to hana!

I mean If you are down to pay $25 for 5 shrimps crusted In coconut then this is the spot for you. The fish and chips is about $20 for 5 pieces. We didn’t get to try the fish and chips but we tried the coconut shrimp. Don’t think it was worth the price, hence why I’m giving it 3 stars. It’s probably best if you bring your own food or maybe try the fish n chips and let me know how you like it!

Not alot of places to eat on the road to Hana but this is a gem. Not highly visible but worth the hunt. The coconut shrimp is perfect. Don’t be in a hurry because they get busy but the fresh shrimp only took 10 minutes or so. Don’t be surprised if the parking lot is full, in which case stop when you come back. Cash only so be prepared.

Fair food, nice atmosphere, very friendly service. Portions are big enough for two to share. Not quite as good as I remembered, but that could have been the fresh catch – this time Ono which was a bit tonight for my taste…

The coconut shrimp here was very good but my family asked for five orders and the woman refused. She said if she sold us five then she would run out so we could only have four and one order of fish and chips. This struck me as…odd to say the least. The fries also seemed like they were frozen. For $20 I would have expected more of them, but the coconut shrimp made it worth it.

Stopped here while driving through on the Hana HWY. the owner is friendly and laid back. The only thing available today was fish and chips so we can’t comment on the other food. Wish they had the Chinese and coconut shrimp but settle for fish and chips (fries). The fish is fresh and he does his homemade batter, breading was good. Would recommend

Stopped there on the road to Hana for a late lunch. Ordered a plate of coconut shrimps, and as the lady suggested, a plate is enough for 2! She even threw in 2 small pieces of fried fish so we could try it. Such a nice lady, we definitely recommend!
