In a town famous for burgers, this ranks up there as one of the best. It’s been open since 1946 and used to be a famous stop on Route 66.

Man, these guys make a mean burger. Everything about it was right, loaded patties and veggies, smothered in their house sauce. Their patty melt too was one of the best I’ve had. The only gripe I have is the price. It was over $20 for the double patty burger combo with fries and drink. Feels pretty steep, so iono how often I’ll be coming. Maybe I’ll just come back for the patty melt alone.

Definitely one of the best spots you’re gonna find in Los Angeles to get a great Burger amazing service. I came here last night they gave me a free meal. You can’t beat that with a bat.

The only reason I thought to try this burger joint out, is because some dude on Instagram gave it a great finger licking review. Now I tell you this I’m a just stick to inandout! It’s cheaper and tastier. I ordered the turkey burger ….it had no seasoning and the buns tasted like the top of that sliver table the kitchen use. Than I order the chili cheese fries and you get a cup of chill to pour over the frys???? That chill was sitting in a cup of Grease so much grease probably could of slapped some of that on the dry burger. Well over all not for me.

excellent burger (fresh-tasting, good patty, although the bun was kind of lacking), and the patty melt (flavorful, juicy, saucy) was great too. also really good fries! nacho cheese sauce was a must. and of course the zab’s hot sauce! definitely a top LA burger.

I think I’ve found my favorite burger. All of my friends have been raving about Irv’s Burgers that just opened in my neighborhood (LaBrea and Olympic). There’s also a West Hollywood location, and was known for being on the historic Route 66. Irv’s has been around for over 76 years, and they keep it simple with their menu. The burger patties are cooked on the spot, with just the right amount of caramelization, the cheese is the right amount of melted goodness, the grilled onions are sweet and yummy and the bun is toasted…this makes for a great burger. Oh, and the fries are also cooked just right. But here’s the biggie…these burgers are affordable and better than most of the $20 + burgers and fries at these big name establishments. This is the closest thing I’ve found so far to old fashion homemade burgers in LA in the last 15 or so years. Plus, you can have them delivered, though I walked there to get mine. Irv’s will remind you of a cool retro burger joint with indoor and outdoor seating…that had me when I opened the door.

I went to the one on Santa Monica Blvd and the cashier told me that they were out of cookies. (After our meal) He told us that there one in La Brea so we head down there after Target. We order the cookie and we shared it together. Very good and fresh. Would recommend. Enjoy
