Enjoyed a beautiful Saturday afternoon dining at the Irish Inn. Food was excellent, waitstaff attentive and friendly. They were very accommodating in my request to have a crab cake as an appetizer even though it wasn’t on the menu. Had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert, substituting Baileys Irish ice cream for the plain vanilla. Dined outdoors which was an additional enjoyment.

I didn’t go here with very high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. Food turned out very fresh and delicious. Especially the fish dishes. Got calamari, Fish and chips, shepherd pie, beef stroganoff, crab dip, bread pudding, Jameson cake, cinnamon twist.

Food was not very flavorful. A bit disappointed. Atmosphere terrific, waiter attentive. Crab patty dish not very generous. Charcuterie w/olives, hummus, pesto, pita breads was greasy. Shepherds pie dish was generous, but bland. Guinness was great. Unlikely to visit again.

Great place, hadn’t been there in years. Food was great, although I wish our server was a bit more attentive. I sat for half of my meal with an empty drink glass.

I got the bangers with fries and cabbage and was very good. My companions ordered fish and chips and the irish cheeseburger and tomato basil soup. They enjoyed those items very well. Full bar available including draft and bottle beer and wine. Irish and other entrees, appetizers, sandwiches and salads available. Very good service.

The waiter who guided us was not very friendly and we waited a long time at the front desk! The food was good and the lady who served us was very friendly! Also very professional!

Very pleased with my experience. I came here as part of a retirement party for a coworker and it seemed like the perfect environment; the private room provided a buffer to the busy lunch rush and allowed a cozy atmosphere for sharing stories. The food was excellent and the waiter was friendly, professional, and conscientious of our privacy; his timing was impeccable. This was my first visit and I plan to return soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the pub. The shepherds pie was authentic and delicious. Excellent and friendly service. Magnet’s cider on draft! They were able to advise on gluten content which I appreciated.

Great experience! The service was prompt and very friendly. Everything was delicious including the Prime Rib which was so tender, the asparagus was prepared perfectly and the Seafood Stew was awesome. The Bailey’s chocolate chip ice cream topped off the meal perfectly. We can’t wait to visit again!

A wonderfully quaint Irish Pub on the outskirts of WA DC draws a very eclectic and diverse crowd. From Sunday brunch social parties to joggers and bikers up from the C&O canal paths, there is a place for everyone. Outdoor seating under umbrellas, patio / porch seating in an outdoor screened-in area as well as pub and indoor restaurant seating – whatever you need, they offer it. The food is exceptional, some traditional Irish fare like bangers and mash to pretty traditional entrees like quiche, burgers, fish and chips, and meat/ salad dinners. It is truly a lovely meeting place with a warm and pleasant atmosphere.
