IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO, I WOULD!! Ordered the brown stew chicken and it is the NASTIEST chicken I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. I immediately was turned off by the appearance with it being red…I am Jamaican and I have NEVER had red brown stew chicken… it tastes COMPLETELY of TURMERIC!! THAT IS LITERALLY ALL YOU CAN TASTE!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!!

I had the absolute worst experience, the food taste like trash. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to eat here. Not something that I would say any Jamaican restaurant would be serving. I paid $27 for a plate that look like a small. I ordered a combination plate with oxtails and fried chicken and got three pieces of oxtails and two small pieces of chicken and little to no rice. The food had no taste, the macaroni look like something that came out of a box that kids make, it was awful. Hands-down the worst Jamaican restaurant in Fort Meyers. I ended up having to go to the Haitian restaurant down the street to order a whole different meal. That cost me only $18 with two drinks and the food was amazing. I will never go back to that establishment again.

The Mac n cheese was runny. The rice and peas were not authentic. The curry tasted very sweet. The food was not disgusting but definitely not my favorite. I’m not sure if the actual cook was out today, but this was disappointing.

Cozy vibe, friendly staff and clean establishment. Not to mention the food was fantastic. Between the four of us we ordered half the menu! Everyone loved their food, I look forward to coming back here.

My wife and I have been searching for a good Jamaican restaurant in the Cape Coral area and we found that Irie hit the spot. We ate inside although most customers were doing takeout. I had the ackee and saltfish and my wife the curry chicken. She actually wanted curry goat, but they ran out. Both were served with steamed cabbage and plantains. We both enjoyed our lunches and agreed it was good but not the best we’ve had. We moved here from the Fort Lauderdale area which has many Caribbean style restaurants and a large Jamaican presence. The food there is a high mark to reach and Irie, although good and worth another visit, doesn’t quite match up.

The food itself is delicious! The portions appear ample, but in all honesty it is mostly rice. The protein portions are meager considering the cost. Overall, I would eat their food again, just not as often since my budget can’t afford it.

Irie I Jamaican is one of the best Jamaican cuisines I’ve been to by far! Service is outstanding and the employees and owner are very generous. They made my day today and I will be referring all my friends and family to their beautiful and clean restaurant. Thank you for the great experience.
