I loved this place! I tried the grilled cheese, tomato soup, quesadilla, and a coffee, and it was all perfection. The grilled cheese and cup of tomato soup are both easily the best I’ve ever had from any restaurant. It was so fresh tasting and had real flavor to it. For an appetizer I had the Irish nachos which were delicious with the sour cream and guacamole with every bite. I also got to try the quesadilla and this quesadilla was mouthwatering. The black beans were seasoned as if it was taco meat making it a good option for a vegetarian or anyone who loves taco seasoning, I will definitely be craving this quesadilla because I was not expecting it to be so good. The spring coffee menu came out today, so I tried the raspberry white chocolate hot latte and while I was scared for a fruity flavor in my coffee, it was surprisingly spectacular and I loved it. Additionally, the service from our waiter was amazing it created an even better environment inside of a beautiful interior. I am most certainly going to come here again and get the grilled cheese, tomato soup, and that quesadilla again!! This place is an Austin must try!

I have lived in five states, and this Hass to be one of my favorite places I’ve ever been. If you’re looking for a new place to become a regular, you found it. Kathryn is kind, generous, and personable, Jill is amazing and has this amazing Gift of just being able to make someone smile, James and Gabe are also huge sweethearts, Luna is incredibly thoughtful, kind, cool, and super sweet. Craig and Colin are also two men that never failed to make me smile. They are the brothers I wish I had growing up. Incredible men, kind, personable, funny and very sweet. I know I have missed a bunch of people, but all I can say is this staff is incredible. They are so incredibly thoughtful with the events that they do here. Trivia night, to shopping with a really cool local vendor and oh my God their movie nights are wonderful. It is so cozy to sit down, get a bowl of popcorn, maybe some candy, maybe a sandwich or some thing and a cocktail And watch a great movie. And the AC is heavenly in there. One of the main reasons I love this place is that it’s safe. It’s not your typical bar environment. There’s indoor and outdoor seating which is awesome! And did I mention that they are incredibly LGBT friendly? They regularly donate to LGBT organizations, and there are several staff members that are part of the LGBT community as well. Two times a month they have drag queen brunch, and it’s always such a great time. Their French onion dip is not something to be missed, the chicken wrap is delicious and very filling, very much recommend strawberry cake with a cup of coffee, tacos are also delicious and oh my God, the homemade pickles, chefs kiss. If you want a little snack, they got popcorn. They also have veggie burgers as well, if you’re vegetarian. Bottom line, make Irenes a part of your self-care routine, if you don’t, you’ll be missing out. Also, make sure to treat the people who work there well, they’re amazing people. I am also a blind human being so I’m going to mention accessibility, it’s extremely accessible here. It’s also wheelchair friendly. Also, if you rock sober lifestyle, they make phenomenal, mock tails. Last, but not least their home made pop tarts are to die for. You heard me correctly, don’t take my word for it though and seriously try one next time you go, literally, so good and it will make you wonder why you ever had a pop tart out of the box. Whether you’re 21 or 81, this place will treat you like family and not only that, but with all the events that they have going on here, there will be something here for you.

Stopped by Irene’s while visiting Austin and it did not disappoint. I personally had the wings and French dip and it was fulfilling. The group I was with has the grilled cheese and vegan burger and they were all satisfied and didn’t leave a crumb!

About 16 of us went for my friend’s bachelorette brunch. The food and drinks were 10/10. They gave us cute little Rosé Jell-O shots and marshmallow treats before we even sat down. The table set up was really cute. There were also a couple of great photo opportunities around the restaurant. But what really took that cake was our server Amanda. 10000000/10. Her positive and energetic attitude made the whole experience. We even said at our next dinner place “This place is great but our server is no Amanda.” If you’re reading this, thank you!!

Jill and Amanda were probably the best waitresses I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were so sweet and accommodating. It started sprinkling and they helped carry our food inside and gave us blankets.
