Named LA’s most underrated restaurant by Eater!
Though it’s housed in a 1946 building that once hosted patrons such as Mae West and the Rolling Stones, Ingo’s is far from your traditional diner. Since 2015, the Santa Monica restaurant has featured a sleek midcentury design with a full bar and an array of locally sourced farm to table dishes.
Our chefs are proud to take trips twice a week to one of the country’s leading farmers markets to ensure Ingo’s offerings are dedicated to local growers and producers. Our bar features handcrafted seasonal cocktails, quality draft beer and curated wine primarily from the West Coast.
The kitchen is open until 8pm on Sundays, 9pm Wednesday & Thursday and 10pm on Friday & Saturday.
Sleek bistro with booths & a long bar serving locally sourced American classics & craft cocktails. Based on 431 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.5 stars. Price $$

The service here is really really friendly and fast. We had the starter of Brussels sprouts and cauliflower flowers, the sprouts were awesome. Also had the ribs which we loved, the pasta was great but a little small. Drinks also very good

After a day of walking around, I was.glad to find a place that looked cozy. Live Jazz on a Sunday afternoon is a bonus. Food, beer choice, attentive staff makes the place worth visiting, the minimal (but well kept) diner atmosphere makes the place feel like it’s from a movie.

How did we not discover this tasty place before now? Ingo’s is a perfect combination of sophisticated comfort food, with clubby booths and seating, attentive service, and proper cocktails. Brunch brings a live jazz quartet that perfects the atmosphere. And the cherry on top? Freshly baked cookies on the way out.

Dimly lit diner with lots of vegetarian-friendly options. Came here on a Friday around 7:30 without a reservation and it was about a 30 minute wait. They did have free chocolate sea salt cookies (similar to the ones at the Misfit, it’s sister restaurant) which I have to admit I munched on prior to getting dinner. I couldn’t help it – the cookies were the right balance of sweet and salty with a nice crunch. Once we were seated, our waitress came and took our orders pretty quickly. We got the broccoli with burrata, brussel sprouts, and mezze plate. The broccoli was huge and I liked the roasted garlic sprinkled throughout it. The crispy brussel sprouts were my favorite – they had such a good texture and had a nice glaze on the outside the was complemented well by the crunch of the Marcona almonds. If you like goat cheese, then you’ll also appreciate that it comes as a dipping sauce, although the brussel sprouts are good on their own. The mezze dips plate is a good appetizer choice that comes with 2 dips (one lebni that’s like a hummus, the other is a muhammara that reminds me of chunky Middle Eastern salsa except it’s made with red pepper and nuts). It comes with pita bread which our waitress was kind enough to bring us more of when we ran out, as well as radishes and carrots. They have jazz on Sunday’s and it’s also a chill, laidback spot to grab a cocktail. Overall, I enjoyed eating my vegetables here and appreciate the free cookies and nice service.

Has been very pleasant. This was my second visit both times I have been impressed both with the food and the quality of the service. The ambient is very refined and on some days they have live jazz music. I have had one of their burgers and the French dip sandwich roast beef to be exact. Super fantastic delicious!!! Can’t wait to go back you should try it if you haven’t. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Great food. Happy hour everyday with 6 dollar beers and specialty cocktails. Can’t go wrong with that!

Ingos take away pot pies were a blessing during the shutdown quarantine. The short rib pot pie and bottle of Turley Zinfandel (also purchased from Ingos) along with Ingos Caesar made those night at home memorable. Ingos has always made the neighborhood comfort food the bench mark in Santa Monica. Don’t ever change!!

Great food friendley staff kinda pricey but it’s justified, just before leaving the host stopped at our table and told us not to forget to grab a cookie on the way out that it’s the best cookie you’ve ever had in your life and well… it was
