I was so excited to have a home-cooked meal today that I didn’t have to cook. The chef peels real potatoes every morning. The cabbage was delicious. Purple hull peas on point. And the macaroni and cheese was as yummy as Sweetie Pie’s in St. Louis! Mrs. Salena uses FRESH vegetables! Pecan pie and pound cake made from scratch. Please support this fabulous local restaurant!!!

It’s fantastic food and service. Reminds me of Grandma”s cooking. Man do I miss that ‘ole Gal and her home cooking. The dinner filled me with nostalgia. I think whenever I miss my mother or grandmother I’ll go have a bite here. Yep, definitely will do just that. Come and get it guys, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Oh my goodness! We ate here for the first time yesterday and it was AMAZING! My husband got the meatloaf and I got the chicken and dressing. Both were incredible! Oh and the caramel cake is to die for! And the folks working there are so sweet! I wish we lived closer. We’d be there a couple time a week! We live in Killen but were in Athens for a dr appt. Even though it’s a 45 min drive, we will definitely drive that far to come back to Inez’s Soul Food.

Great food! Amazing service from a super nice family… We stopped in for a lunch on a drive and we had such a good time. The staff interacted with us and told us about all of the food offerings. This is definitely the place for some Southern Hospitality! Superb chicken and Mac & cheese!

I really enjoyed my lunch from Inez’s! I got the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, peas and strawberry cake. 10/10 would highly recommend if you love good REAL southern food. I used the ho cake to scoop the peas like a delicious soul food taco #smash The potatoes were real, the black eyed peas were seasoned perfectly, and the chicken was perfect. The atmosphere is really cute, clean, the staff is excellent and my food that I called ahead and ordered was ready in 5 minutes. I Will be back for the honeybun cake!!

Great soul food !! Good size portions…friendly staff!! Fish was fried perfect …a little pricey …I got a couple of 2 piece fish dinners and 3 sides on each….for about $35 total….but…..I will be back to try other things !!!
