My daughter & I stopped here for a glass of wine on our way to a holiday party. Stephanie (one of the owners) was very friendly and informative. Everything on the menu made me salivate! So we broke down and shared the escargots and the chocolate cake. Both were amazing! Some of the best food I’ve had in Denver. I almost felt like I was back in France!

Run, don’t walk, away from this place. The only thing more abominable than the food was the service. My friend and I tried it for restaurant week and I think we could’ve had a more appetizing meal at McDonald’s. The green salad was literally just lettuce (and it took more than 40 minutes to arrive at our table). The coq a vin was served over white elbow macaroni noodles that looked like they’d come out of a box of Barilla pasta. And the creme brûlée was bland and uninspired. I honestly cannot remember the last time I bought a meal this awful. In a city with such awesome dining options, I have no idea why this place is still in business.

We went back to Indulge to enjoy another wonderful food outing, this time during 5280 food week(s). The food was once again top notch! I would venture to say the best french in town. The only weird comment I have(and this is only so they can improve) is to say the waitress and/or bartender might brush up on what, perhaps, is the most ubiquitous of french concoctions – Kir. Kir is the first drink on their menu, I ordered my Kir(with acai to give it a try) and out came the drink… champagne and acai. I politely said “oh sorry I ordered a kir, not kir royale”, she was very nice, apologized and went to make it right. She came back with another champagne, this time with Cassis(sp?) in it. I hate to make as scene and it was busy due to restaurant week but being not a fan of champagne I tried to let her know that a Kir is just with white wine while royale is champagne. She politely tried to inform me that Kir actually means “with champagne”. While I know this is not the case I was embarrassed, didn’t want to press the issue and act like a snob(there’s a joke in here somewhere:). Basically please make sure if you are a french bistro waitress you have the basics down. Of course this minor issue was mostly forgotten by a great meal!
