The food was delicious! I ordered the samosa appetizer and the butter chicken for my entree. Each dish brought forth the nostalgia of these classic dishes while also having a unique flavor that made the dishes fresh and delightful! We also ordered the pork appetizer, which was equally as flavorful. So tender and delicious. And the naan was delightful — fluffy and perfectly fried! The restaurant’s location is stellar, only a short walk from the King St. metro, and the restaurant is beautiful inside. It is tastefully decorated, from the decor to the water glasses to the dinner plates! We also had a very attentive server, which was the icing on the cake! We will be back!

Holy sweet sugar ice tea. This food is phenomenal. Some of the best tasting food I ever experienced the spice and the attention to detail is out of this world. Thank you and signing off today please take care.

Atmosphere was great and service was good but I think they could improve their foods. First off, expected this restaurant to have more fusion dishes but it was more of an Indian restaurant with some Chinese dishes. Presentation was great but some of the flavors missed the mark:

The best Indian food I have gotten around Virginia so far. The meat was so tender and flavorful. A good portion of biryani and the butter chicken was so buttery that it reminded me of Delhi in India. Inviting ambiance with plenty of sitting and a big bar area. Parking is little hard to find because it gets full due to park next to it. ***MUST VISIT ***

It’s a good restaurant, with good ambiance. We liked their cocktails, appetizers were good in taste. The most important part was their price. They were very reasonable and not too expensive. With the taste which they served and price on their menu is completely worth it. I recommend trying their Veg Manchurian, Cocktails, Kale Chat, Fried rice and Naan. The main course Mix veg curry was average. If you try eating meat side dishes. Should their Dumplings ( Chicken ) and fried rice . Recommend by my friends. Overall thumbs up for Cocktails and reasonably priced dishes.

This is our favorite neighborhood Indian fix. Lamb roganjosh is amazing, as is biryani, garlic Naan and butter chicken. Service is always nice and professional. Pictured, tonight’s Shrimp Chow Mein, garlic Naan, and lamb roganjosh.

If you enjoy South Indian food don’t miss Indo Chen. Being Sri Lankan my wife and I enjoyed the food. We started with Spicy Margarita with ice on a side, and Chennai Express followed by Kale Chat, and chilli chicken. Finished with Butter Chicken & Mix Veg Curry. The waitress from Nepal was very attentive and knowledgeable. It is large and had well spaced tables. I am not sure what Chen refers to. May be next time.

I ordered the pork ribs for two and garlic naan for takeout, and wow it’s a lot of food! The portions could definitely serve three people and not just two. The food was freshly prepared and well packaged for take away, which I appreciated. While pork ribs aren’t the main attraction at Indochen, I have to say that I recommend it highly for repeat customers. The meat was tender and soft, and the fried rice had a mix of vegetables, eggs, and more.

The food was incredibly good. Indian & Asian inspired dishes. You will leave very full with take away for the next day. We ordered two entrees, tandoori chicken and butter chicken. I saw other reviews raving about the kale chaat so we started with that. It was tasty and did not disappoint. We were also brought a sample of the rice pudding. I will not lie, I was full and still indulged. The pudding was really nice, creamy with a hint of rose water and topped with toasted coconut. The naan bread was light and airy. I don’t normally overindulge on bread but this was worth it. Highly recommend Indochen. This may be our new favorite place. They also have a location on King street in Old Town. They also have a nice cocktail menu. The cocktails looked lovely. Will have to try next time.
