The location is strange and reminds me of an old Pizza Hut joint, the inside is basic and simple to the point of bare HOWEVER, the food is tasty (could use more salt for my palate), but you can always add that. The dishes were prepared authentically and without food coloring. We had Malai Kofta, Coconut Rice, Garlic Naan, Eggplant Bharta and Okra Fry. I loved the Okra and the Eggplant sides. The prices were amazing for the sides and the portions were great. I was surprised to find this gem, and will return whenever I am in the area again. The wine wasn’t half bad given it was an Indian restaurant either. Historically local Indian restaurants don’t have a good alcohol selection. MANGIA!

Haven’t had Indian food in quite a while. Reminded how delicious it is! I wont try to spell words that I cant even pronounce, but I had beef tips, eggplant based vegetable dish, and basmati rice, all which were very well done. All dishes are spiced very well! The service was very good, the owner is very nice and cordial, the resturant looked really good, only downside was is was a little warm for me. I didnt see a bike rack, no free wifi, they do cater though, and have a food truck on campus during the work week. Very good!

The owner is really friendly. He’ll most likely stop by your table to say “hi”! 🙂 The atmosphere is nice and private (perfect for a date). My only complaints are that the price is pretty high (min of $10 for a meal) and the food was kind of bland compared to what you’d get in Des Moines. There wasn’t much spice. It works for what is available in Ames though!

The restaurant always seems closed! We went only once, and it took about 2.5 hours for the appetizer to arrive, and they forgot one item we ordered. Food has not been particularly good, and very bland. Have never seen anyone make veg biryani with coconut milk 🙂 Additionally, price seemed much higher than what we see else where, but the food quality was not that great.

This is, hands down, our favorite restaurant in town. The owner comes out to greet all diners individually, and share a bit about the dishes. His attention to detail shows in the quality of the food served. The wait staff are polite, helpful and courteous. If you are looking for satisfying and delicious Indian cuisine, come here.

This is a wonderful restaurant experience every time. The dishes can take some time to arrive, as they are made-to-order. I love the curries and the appetizers. The chef/owner is always very gracious, and he comes to our table himself to make sure we’re enjoying the food. I definitely recommend for a nice night out. Totally worth the time investment. I don’t think it takes that long compared to any other nicer restaurant, but it’s not “fast” food. Their express location is good for something faster.

I have been to Indian restaurants in several countries and other states. This one is great! I enjoyed the variety of dishes, the exquisite flavors and you could see the owner cooking his little heart out in the kitchen. Often times sauces are pre-made and left to warm in bins until used. This gentleman was artfully and passionately making the individual dishes and they were superb! The setting was quaint and they took customer service seriously. It’s tempting to try everything and relish in the ambiance for hours.

This place is fantastic. The owner is fantastic. The food is fantastic. I’m fantastic for eating there. You can be fantastic too. Don’t you want to be fantastic? I don’t need to add a picture to this review because I’m reviewing the emotion of joy. The food here is like your first sunset. Your first taste of grandpa’s homemade ice cream that was hand cranked in the hot Missouri sun.

My brother took me out for Indian Food one time and I loved it, so I came here because it was around where I lived and it’s been my favorite restaurant for 4 years now. I even worked there for a few months and their cooking is an art. Beautiful and delicious and heart healthy. I got my friend that doesn’t eat any garden food to eat their herb infused dishes and he said he loved it.

First: The owner and his staff are always smiling and friendly. Every time I’ve been in they are sure to ask me how I’m doing. You don’t get that at many places anymore.
