In-N-Out is one of those places you hear about on the east coast that is practically treated as “the stuff of legends”. On my journey to the west, I finally got the opportunity to test the mettle of all that I’ve ever heard — and frankly, I was let down. The place itself is modern, clean, looks good. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised at the extremely short menu “ordering is as easy as 1-2-3!”, the numbers literally just being the only menu items. But as soon as I heard the person in front of me speak their order, I was left confused. What the heck are “fries animal style?” That was not on the menu. And instantly I felt like I wasn’t part of the “club”, which is alienating. The front desk person explained to me what it was, and I went for it. The wait for the food was considerable. The food itself was disappointing – the burger was so thin that I was mostly just eating bread and condiments. The fries “animal style” seemed underdone with underwhelming texture, but did remind me of poutine.

Though it took a really long time to get our food, it was standard In-N-Out Burger food. Very good, and very fresh. The customer service was excellent. The place was clean.

Had a double with grilled onions, no cheese. Regular fries and chocolate shake. Best meal in town. Didn’t use the animal meal. Place is always clean, people are friendly. But always wondered why they haven’t put any music in. Will go back again and again!

The food is pretty good but very limited. It tasted fresh but there’s something about in and out that just doesn’t hit the spot like other burger places. I do like the scriptures that they put on their meals. The price is definitely something that you want out of a burger joint so I commend in and out on that!

We got there just before the lunch rush. We ordered and then the lunch crush hit. Very busy. Cheese burger and chocolate shake were really good. The fries were okay – thicker than I prefer, and not as hot as I like. But, fries aren’t really my thing, anyway. One of the workers noticed I hadn’t eaten most of my fries and offered me more but I declined. But I appreciate that he noticed I hadn’t eaten them.

Very high efficiency. The food was great. I ordered a double double animal style and fries animal style. Let me tell you, eating all of that is a bad idea. It tastes so good, but I felt like a mountain gorilla was sitting on my shoulders the rest of the day and there was an active volcano in my stomach. It’s also a bit expensive for the volume they push out.
