Tonight, I ordered Fried Dumplings. When they were delivered, I opened the container and they were burnt (please see the attached). I called the restaurant and the owner’s son (who takes most of the orders and works at the front counter) answered. I explained the dumplings were fried and burnt. I explained they even smelled burnt. He said he would call his father (who delivered the food) to instruct him to come back to my residence and pick up the food; and they would issue me a refund. I explained to him I wanted dumplings; so, I asked him to re-make the dumplings and when the corrected dumplings were delivered, I would give them the burnt dumplings. He said, “No, that option isn’t available at this time.” I asked why isn’t the option wasn’t available. He stated they would just come to pick up the burnt dumplings and issue a refund. I further explained that money (a refund) isn’t the issue. I didn’t want a refund. I wanted the dumplings I ordered to be corrected and re-delivered. He told me that I would be charged a second delivery fee. I asked him, “Why would I be charged a second delivery fee when the restaurant made the mistake?” He pivoted; and stated that re-delivery isn’t an available option. When I questioned why not, he stated, “Because we don’t want to.” I told him, “You just lost a customer!” This family-owned restaurant has poor customer service. This incident isn’t my first time experiencing sub-par customer service; but, I wanted to give them the “benefit of the doubt.” The restaurant made the mistake; but, wouldn’t be inconvenienced to ensure the customer was satisfied. Patronize this place at your own risk! If they mess up your order, they won’t go out of their way to make it right. I will NEVER bring my money back to this poor excuse of a business!

First time trying this place and it will be the last. The curried chicken with onion was predominantly vegetables with a skant amount of slimy chicken cooked in burnt oil. I took a few bites then threw it out. The egg rolls were ok enough. Worst Chinese I ever had!!!!

This was our first time ordering from Imperial Wok, and it will absolutely be the last. The chicken lo mein was truly horrible – noodles were mushy, and the chicken was slimy, rubbery, and tasted terrible. The beef in the beef & broccoli was also rubbery and gelatinous. The only thing that wasn’t absolutely disgusting was the hot & sour soup… only mildly disgusting. What a shame.

My favorite casual Chinese spot! Good quality food. The shrimp is usually big and tender. I always order their broccoli- it just soft enough but not too soft. Other places either overcook or undercook the broccoli. This place has it perfect. Sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, and shrimp with veggies are my regular dishes. They are always fast and accurate. Been ordering from Imperial Wok for years and used their delivery service frequently over the past year.

Spring break, I was in town with family for a week. Being from chicago, I love Chinese food! After reading the reviews Imperial Wok was my target location, with a 4.2 out of a 5.0, I felt like the odds was good enough. I walked in and ordered a shrimp and broccoli lunch special with wonton soup for 6.25! The dish was Great!! Plenty of shrimp, nicely streamed broccoli and fried rice. Its definitely worth a try for chinese lovers.

This is definitely my new favorite Chinese food restaurant. The store had beautiful decorations, the employees were extremely nice, and we absolutely loved the General Tso’s chicken that they reccomended. Will definitely be coming back.
