Ordered the Slinger and Truffle fries. Do not sleep on this restaurant! Best non-traditional burger I have ever had. If you enjoy the burgers at restaurants such as craft burger, you will enjoy Illegal burgers as well. The fries pack a punch in its own way, definitely add it to your order. Overall, great burger and great fries makes a great restaurant.

The food is fairly good but for 2 burgers 1 order of fries and 1 16oz beer it was almost 40$ they include a charge for the whole cityset complex and an extra gratuity. then the machine still asks if you want to leave an extra tip. it was very empty when we went in so the food came out quickly. we asked for a ranch and BBQ and the woman told us it would be an extra charge which is absurd when you’re paying 40$ for a meal and pre paid at the front like it’s fast food requiring you to go back to the front and run your card for a few dollars and another round of gratuity and surcharges. Wayyy over priced for what they’re offering.

It’s a pretty small spot with decent outdoor seating. The food is delicious, but the size has definitely been shrunk. Your burger will be 2/3 of the bun size, so you’ll be getting lots of bread. A few years ago, you could order a burger and have it be proportional for the bun. Unfortunately, now you’re paying for bread and toppings. The fries are still delicious. As for the bar, it’s a hit or miss. You have a 50/50 chance of them having the liquor you want or having your cocktail made correctly.

Food was okay. We had the blackbean burger which had a strong cumin flavor. Chili cheese fries were bomb. House margs are very sour but strong. I like strong but not so much sour. Truffle fries and a mustardy flavor. Not bad overall.

Went Saturday night for dinner, and we were told we couldn’t eat there because they had already cleaned and were closing at 10, it was 9. I ordered 3 illegal fries, I got 2. The food in general was good. But the to go made them super soggy. Maybe eating in the restaurant would be different. It’s weird they close so early, because they had 4 families go in ready to eat and were shut down. I dont think I will return, maybe they were having a bad night.
