We went there during restaurant week. We had an 8:00 reservation. We weren’t seated until 8:40. We were seated at a table that had obviously been added for restaurant week because it was in front of the kitchen. The waiters would come out and hold their trays over my head. We insisted on being moved as soon as a new table opened. Eventually we moved. Did not get appetizers until 9:20. And that was after we grabbed a passing waiter, because whoever had our table never came over. The food was pretty good, and worth the restaurant week prices. The lemoncello cake for dessert was fantastic, bursting with lemon flavor and shaved white chocolate pieces on top. The mussels appetizer was also very very good. It was described as spicy, but I thought it was pretty mild. The sauce had an excellent flavor, lots of garlic. The mushroom ravioli was described as having different kinds of mushrooms… Maybe that was true for the insides, but they had white button mushrooms in sauce on top, and I was disappointed because I was expecting a medley of mushrooms. Everyone kept apologizing saying it was a crazy night, but what did they expect? It’s restaurant week on a Saturday night. Be prepared. The employees were all very nice, and the chef/owner is a great guy. I’d say it’s worth checking out.

Loved this place. the food was the best. Our waiter Chris was so accommodating. The drinks were fantastic. The view of the Hudson was off the chart. We met the owner who was a class act all the way. Cant wait to return on a warm night so that we can sit outside and enjoy all that this beautiful restaurant has to offer.

We recently had our daughter’s baby shower at Ill Sorisso for 44 people. The room was beautiful with a great view of the Hudson River. The owner William did a great job in helping us plan the event. The service staff was excellent and the food was delicious! 5 STARS

Celebrated a milestone birthday at Il Sorriso on 12/17/17. Met with William a few times before making the final arrangements;found him to be extremely accommodating and patient with my questions. I had looked at several other local restaurants but was impressed with the brightness and warmth of the restaurant and the view from the large window facing the Hudson.

Consistently amazing. We drive 45 minutes to eat here and it’s worth the drive! Attentive, professional staff, amazing meals, scratch desserts, and reasonable prices. 4 of us ate with dessert for $120 today and we were all extremely happy with our very different meals. Limoncello cake is to die for.

Have been there 3 times now hoping that the service somehow improves. The food is mediocre at best. The waiter actually asked us if we had any type of coupons or if we reserved the table through an online service. When I said no and asked why, he said “those people don’t tip good and I’m not taking a table that doesn’t tip good.” This place needs an overhaul!

I was looking for a restaurant to hold a rehearsal dinner at. Being from CA i had to rely on other for suggestions. I am so glad I was directed here! William and his staff did an amazing job! The private room in the back had amazing views! Everyone loved the food.

Very good dinner with parents. Servers were very pleasant and accommodating. Calamari had “legs” which is a good sign. Could have been more crispy. My linguine with clam and shimp along with my BF chicken contidina were excellent

My family and I dined there about 10 times since moving to Irvington. We kept giving it another try, but we’re done. The last time, for my birthday dinner, I ordered grilled lobster that came half-cooked (center was raw). It took them 45 minutes to bring me another one when they could have simply grilled that one and gotten it right. Or they could have gotten it right the first time. By that time my family had finished dinner…The service is almost negligently slow. If you’re an old duffer who wants the early-bird and you don’t mind waiting to get “okay” food that’s overpriced, this place is for you. I’ll keep going to Mima instead.

On December 12, 2013 – Had an early dinner with a 2 year old and the food and service were fabulous! They were very helpful dealing with a hungry toddler, and very patient in taking our order. The food was great – will be back very soon!
