Squid ink pasta with shrimp was really good. The sauce had a nice citrus and spice flavor to it and the shrimp was delicious. You can also really taste the squid ink. The pasta was Al dente but maybe a bit too much. I also had the sparkling oolong tea. Definitely sparkling but not really flavorful.

Stop putting the freaking parmigiano on pasta. You have to ask first not put it anywhere!!! Dunno why every “Italian” restaurant in NYC do that when it’s clearly not done in Italy. You just ask if you want Parmigiano on pasta, you don’t put it by default. Anyway orecchiette alle cime di rapa we’re actually good

First if all, I love Eataly. I love coming both to eat and shop and visit both locations in NYC. I haven’t been to Il Pesce , the seafood restaurant in Eataly for some time but decided to visit today. Service was great as usual, but we ordered Fritto Misto ( basically fried seafood plate). It was ridiculously bad. They actually served the end of the celery stalk…?? I think they either decided this was a good way to get rid of leftovers, or someone’s bad idea of what Misto should be. Salmon and carrots? Never in Misto. Also, there were just 2 shrimp in the dish. Super bad…should never have happened and don’t know what to say….

Not great. For being in Eately you would have expect more. Squid ink pasta was too fishy and not enough flavor of pasta. Other pasta dishes ok but again not enough flavor. Mussels were good but sweet. Calamari appetizer was good as well.

I was at Il Pesce yesterday. I liked thar they had tables available, we’re in a hurry. I had the Tagliata di Manzo, which was a mall cut of stake. It was good to be honest but the size was dissapointing, for a 6 food guy it was like an entree. In my opinion it was too expensive. Laurita the waiter treat us very nice though.

Was very excited to try Il Pesce inside Eataly market today but was fairly disappointed. Calamari was very fresh, texture was great but overall tasted very bland and the batter used was not good quality considering how high quality the calamari itself was. I also got a stomach ache immediately after eating it (and no I don’t have food allergies). The wine was good, service was alright. But overall I expected a lot better quality. They do have a very diverse seafood menu and I’m sure other items on their menu are much better but not sure I’ll be returning.
