First time getting an Ideal chill dog, it definitely lived up to my expectations, so good, my wife ordered the marinated chicken sandwich in a pita, she loved it too, the waitress was very friendly, the food came out quick, we’ll be back to this place again for sure!

Used to come here as a kid. Just visited after not being in the area for 30 years. Still the same delicious chili Mac. We get the jumbo, regular or spicy with cheese and onions. Incredible value. Good service. A Toledo tradition!

You are getting a classic burger or dog experience. Don’t stress when you don’t even have the energy to use the microwave. Just pick up a sack of stuff from here and everyone will be happy. I am not even from Ohio, and thinking of this place is making me want to go back.

I came back to amend my review as the first time I tried here I thought the reason for the abrupt service at checkout was because the guy was busy and in a rush. Having been back twice now I can say that it is a shame the great food is ruined by this guys bad attitude that is mentioned in several past reviews. If you are that unhappy in your job dude LEAVE. He was rushing me paying by card, verbally asked me how much tip I wanted to leave not letting me touch the machine to decide myself and was slamming stuff around. He makes customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. If he isn’t the owner he needs to be let go as he is seriously impacting the ‘face’ of what is otherwise a nice little spot.

For the most part, the food was good, but I did not like the cheese they used in my omelet, and the potatoes were just really not to my liking, but maybe other people would like it. I don’t eat out that much. I mostly cooked these foods myself, so that could be part of the reason, but overall, it was a good experience.

Great food and prices. I tried a competitors drive thru and sadly the service and knowledge of the attendant was less than parr. Enough about that; Ideal hot dog is amazing and service is friendly, professional and considerate. Slight upcharge for little extras, and worth it.
