During a quick detour on our way to Philadelphia, my family and I were blessed to find Ida’s Sandwich Shop on Perrysville Ave. From the get-go, this place felt like a hidden treasure in Pittsburgh.

The food was out of this world! I can’t wait to come here again! Portions were so big you most definitely get your moneys worth although the pricing was great too!

My sandwich, Engine 34, was delicious. Lots of different flavors, I could taste the love in it. Pittsburgh area lacks good sandwich shops, so this place is a gem. The food is cooked fresh and made to order, so call in your order in advance if you are pressed for time. Nice clean atmosphere. Friendly service. I am already looking forward to coming back and trying different menu items.

Great hidden little gem. Great sandwiches I had a fish sandwich I couldn’t finish and I had a basket full of homemade cut french fries like you would get at the boardwalk of Ocean City. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and I totally enjoyed the 80s R&B music that was coming from the back of the house while waiting for my food highly recommend this place.

Very solid and tasty grilled cheese sandwich. Pleasantly surprised at the quality and prices are all decent. I’ve heard very good things about their French toast breakfast sandwich but haven’t tried that yet. I did try their grilled cheese, though.

Great sandwich shop for Pittsburgh. The bread was fresh with a great texture and the sandwich fillings were more than ample. Can’t wait to go back and try the fish.

A new gem in the neighborhood. My sister in Cleveland told me she heard about Ida’s so we stopped by. The decor is light bright trendy, the service is warm and friendly. And the smash burgers and hand cut fries…stupendous! They’ve got a wide variety of breakfast & lunch options and carry Red Ribbon Soda from Natrona. Can’t wait to stop again.
