This is the place you go on the way home for a quick dinner that hits exactly the right spots. Awesome service, this place is always busy and they always have a smile. Hard workers, great food. I’m not going to ding them on atmosphere cause while you can dine in, I think you just get that food, go home and watch some reality TV. My favorite spot to fill in a dinner night that is affordable and delish!

I used to love this place but it’s gone downhill with the new owners. I moved away a number of years ago and not sure when they took over but I came back into town today and decided to eat there and was very disappointed. The spicy chicken sauce is totally different, almost tasted a little bit like spicy barbecue sauce. The tempura batter was horrible. It wasn’t real tempura batter it was panko. The old owners would have gotten five stars, but the people operating now get two.

We’ve been eating at Ichi Bento for 20 years. We love their teriyaki but recently we have problems with their customer service. Twice when we have called for take out we were told that they were too busy to make California rolls. If this is true, they should update their website to indicate when California are available. Very disappointed

Really good food, much bigger portions than I was expecting! They even poke holes for steam to escape so the crispy food stays crispy when you get takeout! The bento boxes were awesome! Chicken katsu was crispy and tender and the chicken teriyaki had a nice char and was juicy and flavorful!

Ichi Bento is a quintessential example of what makes teriyaki places in the Seattle area so great. The owners are friendly, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Even though I have lived here most of my life, I am always grateful that these mom-and-pop restaurants exist. The chicken teriyaki and the chicken katsu I had were both excellent. The teriyaki had a nice salty, umami coating of the teriyaki sauce and the chicken katsu was perfectly fried. The katsu had no greasiness at all and it had a wonderfully crispy coating with every bite. Definitely recommend visiting.

Oh my god this place is amazing. The amount of food you get vs the price is ridiculous and the food is delicious. I got a chicken katsu bento and I expected a normal size bento but it came with a huge katsu, a ton of rice, a salad, a soup, California rolls and a whole box of tempura. Found my new go-to
