This is a very cool place in downtown Salem. Love the sports bar vibe and the women’s sports on the big TVs. The service was quick and friendly. We liked the choice of sauces on the wings and for dipping. Also liked the choice of going boneless if you want to keep your hands clean. The fries were good. The wings were serviceable.

Salem, OR peeps, don’t sleep on Icarus Wings & Things! My hubs and I tried out their vegan mushroom wings last night, and we both thought they were spectacular. We had the Gumbo dry rub, Kansas-olina bbq, shoestring fries, a side of their avocado ranch and Louisiana buffalo sauce, AND their vegan funnel cake. We particularly liked the dry rub because it keeps the wings crisp, but the sauced wings were amazing, too – particularly with the avocado ranch dip! I don’t think the fries are advertised as rosemary forward, but they had a strong herby flavor to me that was flippin’ spectacular. And the funnel cake was a great hit of nostalgia for us both.

Been here twice now, the food quality is amazing. I’ve decided that I should probably have the mushrooms (I’ve had both chicken and mushrooms and those mushrooms are to DIE for!) with the kanasalina sauce and the collard greens (though the shoestring fries are fabulous as well) at least once a month.

Wow. Kansa-Olina BBQ sauce is out of this world! We got a 5 piece Louisiana Buffalo and 5 piece Kansas-Olina BBQ and both were so good….but went back to order more of the BBQ. Side were shoestring fries and coleslaw, both very good. Sauces were Vegan ranch and Honey mustard, again, fab. Just wish they had a mac-n-cheese option, would love to see how chef would tackle that!

So I wanted to love this place. Unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment. The location and the room itself were awesome and the people were great the wings however, not that good. I got two sauces, the buffalo and the barbecue neither stood out. The wings had a fake smoky taste to them. They were not crisp and they had a coating on them that I don’t know what it was. also, when the wings and fries came out, it all was kind of not hot and the fries were lacking in crispness. The blue cheese was great and hopefully the rest of food gets better. There’s nothing more that I would like in Salem than a great wing spot like fire on the Mountain.

We visited during a slow time and ordered some boneless chicken. The food was tasty and they have women’s sports playing all the time. The guy at the counter was sociable and made us feel welcome as we watched some gymnastics. Friendly atmosphere!

Love the fact the owners show all women sports. The boneless are tasty and shoe string fries a great. It’s not a full bar but that’s okay, beer, wine and soda. There new so give a chance to work all the kinks out. Thanks for supporting women sports.

Awesome vibes in this location. The Mac and cheese was probably the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had at a restaurant ever. I was also a big fan of the desserts since I have a big sweet tooth.
