The falafel with feta, kefta, tahini sauce, homemade hot sauce, pickles and pickled turnips, with garlic butter. This sandwich was amazing. If you try it you will Become addicted. Enjoy!

Today was a cold day and all I wanted was a good homemade meal. This hit the spot. The service was excellent. The young man at the restaurant was patient with us as we made our selections. The restaurant was small as all are up here in NY/J but it was CLEAN! It was homey, it was cozy, it was welcoming.

My daughter and I both got the Chicken Shawafel Platter. We could have shared one and had leftovers! The food was delicious and hot! We ordered and had our food brought out to us in less than 5 minutes. Great service and yummy food!

I just came from Egypt not too long ago. And as an Egyptian citizen. I was longing for my country’s flavor and authenticity in its cuisine. When I stumbled upon this humble eatery. Upon entering the restaurant. I heard songs that I only heard in my country.

This place is overpriced and sucks!!! I’ve been coming here for years and not only has the food quality diminished, but the amount of food they actually give you for the price you pay has also diminished! I can tell the owner is very cheap and getting cheaper by the years (who clearly does not understand good customer service) and who is looking for every opportunity to stiff his customers in every way! This once enjoyable place a not so worthy experience anymore. I would suggest you go to Mamoun’s which has for years provided the best falafels in NJ and NYC … and has never become stingy when asking for extra white sauce or hot sauce! Because its never a hassle if you want extra sauce! And the food quality and quantity is always more for the prices you actually pay compared to Ibby’s!!! Stay away, far far away!!!

Just realized i never reviewed this institution. It’s an amazing place for everything on the menu – it’s different and very unique. No point in comparing it to other venues like Mamouns etc. This is a unique place in the history of Jersey City. You will love the food, if you don’t its okay – not everyone has to like everything in the world. This is an authentic place with hard core flavors – try lamb shawarmas, falafels and grilled kebabs.

Stopped here with a friend to grab a quick bite to eat. We got the chicken shawarma pita and it was pretty good! Chicken was tender and ingredients were fresh. Also the food was ready relatively fast.

Chanced upon this place enroute to my morning cuppa at Lackawanna and peaked inside this small place. Looked at how absolutely clean it was and then decided to come and pick up a falafel for lunch the next day. I have had plenty of falafel. Let me tell you. From the gas station run by Yemeni Jews in Netanya, to the old cit in Jerusalem, to hole in the walls in Toronto and Miznon in Chelsea Market.

A regular choice of mine. Not only does it nod to my North African heritage, but it offers some of the tastiest, consistent, well priced food in JC.
