Ok so we went again today 6/7/23….. our server Bella was great, but it wasn’t as good as the first time. They tried putting 2 little burgers to take place of regular size, Bella changed it right away……..The place was clean, the burgers were decent along with the fries. I know they say the burgers are fresh, but I believe they pre make them like other fast food cause they should have been hot. We were the only ones inside ordering. The frys came out hot. The ice cream was good. Will probably go back. They also do military discount. That’s a plus.

I have dined at Highway 55 enough times to offer a legit and honest review. Sadly I have no positives concerning our encounter this evening. I treat every encounter as a new one and the first impression was poor. All the tables were wet and poorly cleaned. There was food bits and trash under various tables. We ordered the basic cheese burgers and fries and were completely disappointed with the food quality. The fries were bland… warm and not fresh. The burgers were constructed well but totally tasteless and not even hot enough to melt the cheese. The drinks did no have sufficient ice to cool them so we requested additional cups of ice. This encounter is similar to all of our previous experiences…so we’ve decided to NEVER PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN.

Horrible experience. Been here a few times and it was fine, but this particular one was awful. We ordered 3 concretes as we had 3 people ordering food. As you can see in the picture we received some sort of small bowl/cup and they were watery. One of them was the wrong concrete anyway. We asked what came on one of the cheesesteaks and we were told cheese only and come to find out there were jalapeños and mushrooms and other items as well. We were also missing food items as well. After spending a total of $60, we got a total of about $25 worth of the stuff we ordered.

Food was good. Tots and fries were extremely greasy. May have to hold off on those next time. Took the enjoyment out of eating them. Our sandwiches were very good. Shakes were good. Little pricey. Once in a while to go. Can’t call it a treat due to the disappointment in our fries and tots especially since it was over $30 for 2 people.

Imagine Steak n’ Shake meets a traditional burger joint. Fun retro decor, good burger and chicken tender menu, and big feel. Service was a little on the slow side, but good place for a quick meal. The chicken tenders are huge and delicious, but the burgers are nothing special. They have ice cream tumblers equivalent to a Culver’s.

I got the steak and cheese. It was very dry not really any cheese or onions and peppers. The gravy tots were delicious. The onion rings were so soft no crunch at all. The price for 3 people was 30 ish dollars.. I am telling you that price was like heck yeah it was worth it!!!
