We’ve been to this location many times (among others). They have the nicest, most polite staff. Ordered fried food for takeout today, which is really hard to get right and still be hot/crisp when you get to your location, but it was perfection. Thanks for all your hard work and for being the best Highway 55 around.

A family ordered ice cream in a cone and the teen waiter grabbed it off of a wire shelf that was completely filthy. They were propped up against a trash can before the photo. The smell was terrible (Of the restaurant not the cone). This place used to be a great place but not anymore. By the way the person who wrote this complaint is not the person who ordered it but the one who was standing at the register when your entitled waitress was blabbering about it in front of the entire store. But she seems to be the focal point of a few of these complaints on here. She was making the whole thing seem like it was no big deal but I’m pretty sure that 96 rating would be considerably lower had the health inspector seen what we saw they would have been a little upset.

We hadn’t eaten at a Hwy 55 in a couple of years but we remembered that they had good food reasonably priced so we decided to give this one a try. We were cordially greeted and seated on arrival. My wife ordered an Americana burger and I ordered a half cheese steak. My wife said her burger was great and I had forgotten how superb their cheese steaks were; t ruly the best cheese steak I have ever had. They only had 2 servers on duty and they were amazing. The really hustled like they were the owners and no detail was overlooked as they served the entire restaurant with an expertise that can only be described as amazing. Altogether, this was a great dining experience.

My husband and I just moved into the area and have been trying out nearby restaurants. We ate at hwy 55 in Mebane earlier this week and had such a great experience. The restaurant is really cute and has a charming atmosphere. The staff demonstrated excellent customer service and were extremely kind. The bacon burger and shake were of great quality. Best burger we’ve had in the area thus far. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant!

Food was good but restaurant needs a major deep cleaning. You can see handprint smudges on all windows, dust and cobwebs if you look up anywhere, and dirt/grime all over the floor and walls.

First time being here I enjoyed my experience has like a nice old school style diner by which never been to him before so I enjoyed it , onion rings were ehhh, and the chili cheese fries the cheese was kind of kinda liquidy kind of light tasting that makes the overall favorite one was probably the custard that’s what I like besides that not a bad spot

I enjoy the delightful lunch at Highway 55 today. I got a free sample of the ice cream flavor of the day, the meal was served hot and fresh and was very well priced. The staff was very friendly and my waiter checked in on the often to make sure I had everything I needed. The restaurant is well space that easy to move around as well as very clean. I will definitely return here for future meals.
