Let me first start off by saying the atmosphere in this place is very comforting with a nice vibe that is hip and trendy. My main issue with this place is the food, as it is nothing spectacular at the price point it is being served at. The food never stood out to me and said I want to come back to this place as it tasted like refined Chinese food.

Amazing ambience! I love the environment very low key and the food is absolutely delicious ! The lobster dumplings were my favorite for the night ! Everyone in the restaurant from the bar in the front to the waiter was accommodating to the T.

We came to this modern Chinese restaurant and pre-ordered the flaming duck. I must admit, the duck was very tasty and convincing. The other dishes were also good, but not outstanding. The quantity was a bit small, and also a bit weak in taste. Nevertheless, we found the restaurant recommendable and we liked it. To end the dinner we ordered from their dessert menu, but unfortunately could not try it because we waited over 30 minutes and it was still not prepared. The service justified this with a ‘party’ that was taking place. This should not happen on a weekend with a reservation. Nevertheless, the service was very nice and attentive.

Food is surprisingly delicious, thought it will be Americanized because of the interior, but the food is quite authentic! Highly recommended for small group celebration, business meetings, or dates. Peking duck is must get, veggies are all good, I especially like the soft shell crab in spicy pepper! Amount of food is not as big portion, me and my female friend finished ALL THE FOOD!

Lovely dim sum lunch in an opulent setting – vaulted ceilings, champagne hall, lush interiors – and we had a delicious meal with attentive service! Loved the paper thinness of the Peking duck wraps. Even though half a duck was $60, it was a good portion and we were surprised it came with a separate entree of sautéed green beans, duck, and lettuce cups. We enjoyed the lobster squid ink dumplings very much and the sautéed pea shoots. Yes, the dim sum is pricey but each bite is full of perfectly cooked seafood and protein. What blew us away was the soy milk ice cream that accompanied the bao dessert. The flavor was spot on Vitasoy soy milk and so delicious that it immediately transported us to our childhood in Chinatown.

Came in here for a 9pm dinner and was surprised by how calm it was, there weren’t many tables. I’ve been to their Dubai and HK locations and Hutong is usually the spot for ambiance! But even though it wasn’t busy, service somehow managed to take 20 minutes+ before someone finally came over to take our order. No one came by to even ask us about drinks until we flagged someone down.

Food was amazing! I wish more (maybe 2 of each dim sum course). The service was professional and classy! The cocktails are strong and very tasty. For a brunch party, I wish the DJ played more lively music with familiar top 100 hits or something – the music was like elevator or resort music which is fine for a normal brunch but as it is advertised as a party I thought there would be more of a party atmosphere. 10/10 experience – I am impressed with the food and the authentic design of the inside.”Copy review

Been here a few times now, with friends and a very opinionated chinese mom, so i think my 4 stars can be justified.

Had a few descent items. The Truffle Shitake and Wild Mushroom Bao was good; it’s actually shaped like a mushroom. The Mapo Tofu was descent and Fried Noodles was underwhelming. The dessert was great; we ordered the Childhood, which is vanilla ice cream with maple granola.
