Me and my co worker went to this place like 4 3/4 times already when they had opened up. and I got to say they food is VERY GOOD , tender and the flavor they put into they dishes is what makes it the best . Tried curry chicken delicious. Oxtail ? Delicious. Jerk chicken ? Delicious. And can’t forget about their juice either . They also have great beef Patties. They have great Customer service & they always speak to us Every-time we walk in and also hold conversations as well . We eat there Every-time after work just to eat before we go home and we NEVER had a bad experience at this restaurant. We will always come back to support them . Continue to strive and it only get better from here.

Amazing restaurant! The staff and owners are all so kind and the food is served to perfection with generous portions. Since the photo below, I have tried multiple entrees and they don’t disappoint. Personally I recommend the curry (also get a patty with your order!)

I ordered the fried chicken and curry chicken. The fried chicken smelled delicious, but was tasteless. It’s all aroma was similar to Golden Skillet (did I just age myself?). Actually eating it was flavorless. The curry chicken fell to pieces as of it was boiled and overcooked and was also flavorless. There were caked up clumps of curry on my rice, but very little flavor. The cabbage tasted like green peppers, nothing else, just green peppers. I will say the chicken patty was delicious. It made me wonder if it was a store bought patty because it did not match the rest of the food. I’m sorry to say I only tasted the meals and discarded the full dishes, before ordering dinner from another restaurant. I did crush that chicken patty though.

I just picked up food from this place 20 mins ago and let me tell you, this food is so lovely. I got the large oxtail and it came with rice, plantain, and cabbage. The flavors go together so well and is worth the price. 10/10 would recommend I am currently writing this while devouring this meal.

Absolutely mouth watering! Hot, clean and flavorful food. Great value for the size. A little wait for the jerk chicken since it’s grilled to order but served piping hot and fresh.

Ordered from grub hub ordered a large curry chicken and beef patty, everything was soo good!! 10/10. I even asked for heavy gravy over the food or a side of gravy in the notes & it was followed. Would definitely recommend. It was my first time trying this Jamaican spot

The portions are out of this world, the customer service is top notch and every person on the staff that I have interacted with has been so kind. I had the Whiting (pictured) and am glad to have a place nearby to satisfy my fried fish cravings.

The best Caribbean food in Richmond! The oxtails are fall off the bone and packed with flavor. The rice and peas had to be the best I’ve ever had. Portions are nice, a large oxtails meal can feed two people. I can’t forget about the Sorrel; worth every penny! And the beef patty was well seasoned! Proper Caribbean food!…oh and the service was great.

**Edit to owners response: I spoke to the restaurant and was offered a different dish. I did not want something else, I specifically ordered curry goat. The gentleman was polite in addressing my review and its impact, which I understand. But at the end of the day, watering down your culture and the flavor of your food so that it is more palatable for the masses isn’t the way to go! For the price point and experience, customers want value, quality, good service, and authenticity. **
