This place is tucked into a small plaza right next to the Courtyard Marriott hotel. We went here twice in three days. We were a little skeptical at first because of the review but the food is superb and is traditional spicy Hunan cuisine. If it matters to you – no MSG used in the dishes, you can tell. We had stir fried cauliflower, diced frog, pickled green beans with minced pork, stewed red chili tofu, all were tremendous. Portions are good and not stingy.

Pretty authentic Hunan Chinese restaurant. Smoked pork dishes taste just like the ones in Hunan. The cauliflower dish was also spicy and flavorful. The fresh ingredients really made a difference in taste and crispness in the veggies. Even better would be Hunan Chili King

Just an average Hunan restaurant. We ordered chicken with pepper and pork tripe. They all look pretty. The pork tripe is a little bit fishy even for Chinese. Their rice is paid $1.5 per person although they will give you a big bowel of rice no matter how many person come, which is ridiculous.

I ordered a lamp meat for to-go 20 mins ago, and now I am eating with my friend, and we both think it is too bad. We ordered small spicy but instead we got very very spicy, and the taste is not good as usual. So disappointed.

The food was fairly good but service OH SO BAD! Those waitresses are like freshly shipped out from China. No sense of serving and shamelessly ASKING for 15% tip. “If you don’t, I won’t clean up your table” one said to me. This is America! No need to ask if u are good at your job!

I was in the area and wanted something more authentic than your average chinese place. I’ve never had hunan food but have wanted to try it for years. I’m glad I found this place. I walked in at around 7 on a weekday. Everyone in the restaurant was asian and all speaking chinese… I saw that as a good omen. I sat down by myself and the waitress took the cup and saucer w the dead fly on it away, as I would be eating alone. I’m undeterred by the fly. It’s just a fly. ( bathroom and kitchen were exceptionally clean; the bathroom spotless).

I’m from hu nan ,I’ll say it’s pretty close to authentic hunan cuisine but not as spicy, the fish we ordered was just soft like doufu (about $14dollars ),coz we didn’t choose frozen fish.

Spicy!!! Quick food, Picture menus. They also have yummy bizarre meat like frog, turtle, tripe, intestine, tongue. Lots of great sautéed food with veggies and meat, dry pot, fish, clay pot. Sticky tables and chairs but it’s mom pops place.
