Worst Chinese take out I’ve ever had. Sweet & sour chicken was neither and came without any onion, pepper or pineapple. Cashew chicken was WAY over salted. 2 stars instead of 1 only because vegetable egg foo young was passable, as was beef with snow peas. Delivery was speedy.

Horrible costumer service and delivery. This location has a rude manager and equally rude delivery guy. Food is so so and high prices. The delivery guy is a lazy latino man (both manager and delivery guy have broken english hard to communique with them),he refused to enter the building on 3 different ocaccions just because he is too lazy to come up the elevator. The manager yelled at me instead of been understanding or apologetic. I will NEVER order anything there again neither my 2 roommates. Don’t waste your money at Hunan City.!

Hunan City is my all-time favorite restaurant for ordering takeout. I get the Plant-based sesame chicken occasionally, sometimes I’ll get the dumplings, other times I’ll get the egg drop soup. It’s all very good. The delivery is reasonably quick, and the delivery guys are all pretty nice. My family also enjoys the crab Rangoon.

I ordered a “meat” eggroll. Mind you they do not specify what kind of meat is inside but I assume it is shrimp like most restaurants serve. I took a bite out of it and the taste was wierd so I inspected because the meat I saw was very dark. I called to complain and the lady told me they only put shrimp and chicken in these eggrolls. You can obviously see in the picture I posted it is definitely not chicken or shrimp. I’m honestly not sure what kind of meat it is. Something they should really specify to their customers considering I am expecting a child. The service was horrible as well when I called. She just wanted to argue with me. I’ve never been so disgusted and I’ve also never even made a review about any place, ever.

This is the worst experience I have ever had in the DMV. I ordered the combination rice I have no idea what type of meat I was eating . But it was definitely a combination . I would never recommend anyone to eat here. Sorry! I never leave reviews like this but I feel it’s my duty to let the public know.

I am giving this place one star from the way it looks outside. I have never eaten at this place and was looking here to see why anyone would want to. When you look this place up, you get a picture of another restaurant and a picture of pizza and a picture of some guy waving. Huh? I have lived in Silver Spring for three years and really had never noticed this place and after doing so thought maybe it was no longer open. It looked so old, dirty and run down, I could only imagine what the food that came out of there would be like. Most of the reviews verified what I was thinking.

This place is the heaven of Chinese food. I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice it was so good I felt like I was in China. Family owned and operated and the owners are so friendly! Alcohol too, they got endless tall boys for the low.

The food was gross. I didn’t think it was possible to go wrong with Chinese food, but I was wrong. I ordered the general tso’s chicken platter and meat dumplings. The egg roll was the first thing I ate and it was subpar. I found myself needing to drown the egg roll with duck sauce to eat it, because it just really lacked flavor. That should’ve been a clue that the rest of the meal wouldn’t taste good, as it’s really hard to mess up an egg roll. Next I ate a dumpling and when I bit into it, it was basically a meatball inside the dough. I didn’t like the taste at all. I only ate one and will most likely end up throwing away the rest of the dumplings. Then I tried the general tso’s chicken and pork fried rice. The rice was ok, nothing too memorable about it. The general tso’s chicken was way below my expectations. It seemed like it was lacking flavor, like the sauce had been watered down or something. Overall I was disappointed in the food and felt like flavor was lacking. I wouldn’t order from here again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know
