Unfortunately we have stopped going to Hunan China Piney Orchard due to the increase in prices. The food is good but we can’t justify the increase in price that doesn’t add value to what we were getting before the increase. If you increase price, increase the value of your products to make the increase worth it.

Food is fantastic, but they are really REALLY bad at answering the phone to take an order. I routinely have to drive there first to place the order. Several times I’ve been told that they just came in late and couldn’t answer the phone.

I disagree with the average rating. A group of us locals go there weekly. The service is always good, the food selection is outstanding. They don’t have a liquor license. I recommend the buffet. Try the salt&pepper shrimp, king crab legs and many delicacies that you won’t get at a standard buffet restaurant. It’s not ritzy and not large, but it is clean, the service is generally excellent. It seats about fifty. The buffet represents a great value for what they offer. For the price, about $7.50 for all you can eat, with ice cream and other desserts, you can’t beat it in the Odenton area. I spoke with the owner who said she had been in business for about ten years. We haven’t had a bad meal there and there is always something new to try. Highly recommended if you want a good meal in a clean establishment with a variety of choices. and don’t want to drop a bundle.

Great shrimp fried rice! Good takeout. Phone ordering leaves something to be desired. The one who takes orders is not very personable. If you allergies I’d ask to speak to the ownerto verify ingredients or go elsewhere. The guy eho takes orsers has no clue.

I’ve been going here for at least 15 years. It’s local and the staff recognise me even I haven’t been for a while. The owner is often at the register and provides excellent customer service. The food is good, is ready quickly and always hot. Great place for take out. Looks like they’ve recently downsized. Hope they stay in Piney Orchard for a long time.
