The Lobster Burger is the perfect Surf & Turf package! It’s their always delicious burger with succulent lobster on top. You should get it, because it WILL make your friends jealous. I will definitely be back for more. Plus, Hula is a unique and laid-back venue with an extensive menu, expansive beer selection and amazing staff. Awesome!

Thursday Night Half Off Wings special is the best. Got a dozen wings and six beers (Sam Adams Octoberfest, also on special; split between my brother and me, I didn’t drink six beers myself!) for around $35. Good deal, and the wings were great.

The owners are very nice people. Very nice to work with to host a monthly open mic. I don’t really drink much and haven’t had any drinks there since I was there to play music. They look like they have some good stuff that I would like. It’s not a tiki bar that has those done up drinks with fruit, umbrellas and stuff. They have a slushie machine and a whole special sweet drink menu that sound delicious! I’ve had the fish sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. Both are delicious and a huge portion. They both come with curly fries for the side. Yum!!

Got an iced tea and wife ordered water. Ordered our meals. I ordered a half dozen wings that were advertised as half price. I was told that a dozen wings had to be ordered for the special. I said ok but then was told the special didn’t start till 6 pm ( it was 5:30). There was no posting of a minimum number or a starting time of 6 pm. Waitress came over and asked if we wanted a tab started. As we were only drinking tea and water I said no. The waitress said she needed to have our credit card to put it on file. I said no. She then told us we needed to pay for our meals now, we hadn’t even got our food yet. I told her to cancel our order and left. When did anyone go to a restaurant and have to pay before being served?

The place looks super fun, so I decided to stop and had open seating and everything but clearly the bartender was new and I asked for a double shot of whiskey. Now mind you, we are in verona!not downtown Pittsburgh or the strip district. I told the bartender to give me a splash of Gingerale because I asked for top shelf whiskey, which they only had crown royal and I would call it at best , middle of the road. The bartender gave me two 1 ounce shots in a tall glass and filled the rest with Gingerale, so which I clearly cannot even taste, the crown peach . So I proceeded to ask the bartender if she could remake my drink, and just put a splash of Gingerale

Had a problem with my credit card thought I was being charged again and the owner called and reassured me it was not another charge. The food is pretty awesome and alcohol prices definitely will have you going back. Dj a few weeks ago played cool music! It’s nice to sit outside and have a meal and drinks.
