On a Friday we tried to make reservations for two only will take reservations of 4 or more. We arrived waited 15 minutes for outdoor seating which was a beautiful view of the tappan zee bridge. No physical menus you have to scan it on your phone so make sure you have your phone with you. We had always stirs to start which were great. We ordered a burger and fries and a chicken sandwich with fries which were amazing. Waited about 15-20 minutes for our check. Then noticed they added a 3% tip for the chef. I’ve eaten at a lot of places in and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen something like this. I believe you should pay your employees correctly so that the customer doesn’t have to tip them out. Don’t get me wrong I tip well for the server. Great place when I go back probably not but if I had to I would.

Location and views allow them to consistently turn out mediocre food (except for the excellent selection of fresh oysters). But what prompts me to write such a negative review is the recent manager. We are locals who happily frequent our neighborhood restaurant despite the waits. We have always been greeted with kind and friendly management until tonight. Our server was lovely and attentive and made our experience worthwhile. The hostess was also very nice but it was abundantly clear that whoever was managing was rude and clearly prioritizing his personal friends for seating. We were told there were no reservations of outdoor seating (which we knew) but our table would be available in 1/2 hr. 1 hr later (at almost 9 pm) our table was finally available but only the end dark table. When we asked if we could seat at a more centralized well lit table which was open we were told it was reserved. Whoever the gentleman who was the manager that night was very clearly focused on helping his friends. we are in the neighborhood and get to see the views all the time. Not worth going back with this kind of management.

It’s really a shame because I adore the food and atmosphere, but the staff is horrific. I live in the building attached and it’s convenient, charming and the food is incredible, but the staff makes me not want to ever return again. Out of the 6 times I’ve been here, every time there’s been an issue with the reservation. Today, I had a party of 8. I was excited to show my parents and my significant others family this restaurant. Little did I know, all the conflict we’d be dealing with. From the moment we arrived, our table was set up for the wrong amount of people. AGAIN, another issue with the reservation! I shook it off not really making a big deal about it. We enjoyed our appetizers and drinks while waiting for our mains. We all received our food, except for one person. We waited a total of 20 minutes for him to receive his food! The staff was completely oblivious. Then, we go to pay, and are hit with a 20% gratuity and 3% “chefs appreciation”, no big deal, but in this case a 20% tip was NOT what we wanted to give because of our horrendous service. They also told us they took off the late food dish, but never did. So again, another issue. It is such a shame, we are locals, excited to have brunch on a Sunday and although these are all small things, they add up to be a lot. It’s very concerning that this has happened over 6 times now. Safe to say, we will not be returning.

Food tasted like it was frozen and the oysters had green and bacteria all over them! They didn’t wash them. Stay away. And 90 degrees out and too cheap to put on the AC. Plus 3% chef appreciation fee?

Amazing place, reviews and pictures do not do it justice. Great wine list, wonderful locally sourced vegetables, beautiful fish. The view tops it off and outdoor seating is super Cosy.
