This place is very professional, knowledgeable, and spotless. The restaurant owners were very kind and welcoming as they mingled around the tables. The food was very original and I found out the restaurant rotates the menu every few months. We will definitely be back. Pictured is the Salmon with arugula and a Platform Martian Sour

Our party had a great experience here! Classy but not unwelcoming, we saw folks dressed up and somewhat causal. My Dark Walnut Old Fashioned was the best I’ve had. We all enjoyed our food and will be back to try their outdoor patio. You will pay for your experience here, my bride and I racked up a ticket of $163 which included an appetizer, drinks, 2 meals and mandatory 20% tip. We were celebrating a birthday in our group so we didn’t mind. Get dressed up and enjoy a nice night out. We all agreed live music would have made our experience even better.

Elevated menu, by far the best pork chop and turmeric cauliflower I have ever had!!! I’m a broccoli lover not so much a cauliflower eater, but I will dream about that cauliflower. The flavors on that plate were perfect and amazing!!

Was going to try the 8-course meal, but after trying a regular dinner experience, we won’t be wasting our money on a “meh” (and very overpriced) experience. Every course was cooked properly but the flavors were meh. And for a $54 steak entree, I expected more. Microgreens do not equal a higher price point just because you’ve decided every item needs them. If we want steak or seafood, I know a lot of other restaurants where I can get better food a lot cheaper.

Service was outstanding and the atmosphere devine but the food was mediocre at best, the prices way too high and the portions extremely small. Plus, they had taken our favorite menu items off, despite our complaints previously about their being missing. I doubt we will be back.

This place has been open a while but I have never considered going until we decided to catch a show at the local playhouse and wanted a decent meal before going. Hudson and Essex did not disappoint at all. I’ve been to some really great, upscale restaurants in my time and Hudson and Essex is very good. My steak was cooked to perfection, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere wasn’t stuffy at all. Sometimes getting an upscale meal means eating in silence, and agonizing over what freaking fork to use, but Hudson and Essex has found a way to combine an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere with food that will blow your mind. You really do the get the best of all worlds here. We will definitely be back!

What an adorable find! Being a mostly plant based eater, I was pleasantly surprised at the options and how delicious they were. We had the cold peanut noodles and the caprese risotto along with a bread board. Very happy with all choices. The owners were there, going table to table welcoming guests like old friends. Even though it was our first time there, they made us feel so welcome and like part of the community family. The wines were impressive as well. I would highly recommend!

Food and drinks are great here, atmosphere is amazing! But the main reason for this review is a shout out to the most amazing and awesome waitress that we’ve ever had. We don’t know her personally, but as a waitress if you want excellent top notch customer service, ask for Miranda!!!

Love this quaint restaurant we found while visiting Mansfield. We stopped in for lunch and had their wonderful Caesar salad, Cheese/egg bread, Charcuterie board, Scallops, Ribeye, and Lobster Mac. Everything was really good but I would recommend the board and Ribeye above all. We will definitely be back.
