Secret Shopper
This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The cook had to clean our table. It took 25 minutes for the hateful waitress to take our order. 15 minutes later my husband got his food but my order wasn’t even placed. They rushed to cook my order. My eggs and bacon were raw, the biscuits and gravy were cold as ice and the syrup looks like water. Three other tables got up and left. One poor woman was arguing with her hateful waitress about paying for food they never received! GO TO WAFFLE HOUSE! !!

We came to eat at Huddle House for breakfast and I am very glad we did! The restaurant was very clean, our server was efficient and friendly. The menu has a HUGE variety. I ordered the Bacon, Sausage and Gravy Stuffed Hashbrowns. It was perfect. The cook even came by to make sure we enjoyed everything. This place is under new management and you can certainly tell the improvements. Most certainly worth a try!

I am sitting in the diner now and the place is calm. I just over heard that someone cancelled a call out order. For those who do not know that means the waitress has to cover it. It happened to be my waitress who had to cover this unknown persons bill. She handled the news better than I ever would have and continued to obtain the best service I have had in a good while! Shout out to Martina (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) You are an awesome server ! The cook this morning also cooked everything just the way I like it. Believe me that’s not easy. I will be returning and I really appreciate kicking off my early morning with a great start!

Bad experience, long wait, only customers there. We saw the blueberry waffle ad on sign, and WH was packed nextdoor. Nice waitress, and waiter.. not sure who was actually ours? Anyway, we entered to find a manager, 2 cooks, and 3 wait staff who all seemed completely laxidaisy sitting in a booth, and standing around the booth. Waited 5 minutes before anyone even said hello. We ordered the blueberry waffles with bacon eggs. Waited another 10 minutes for coffee. Then when we were expecting our food, like 10 more minutes, we found out special was not available! This is like 30 minutes after we walked in. We had another 20 minute wait before our food came. The waitress apologized and seemed embarrassed to the point she went to the bathroom and never came back. I reported the experience to their online site. I checked the box asking for a response and included my phone number. Never heard a peep. So the problem seems to be from corporate to management to table. The 1 star is sympathy star for my waitress.

Let’s address something right off the bat. This used (emphasis on past tense) to be a great place to eat in Barnesville, it was the only place to get really late night food and pretty much the only real breakfast restaurant. That was in a time I would call “Before Waffle House”. Since Waffle House has moved in next door this Huddle House has been severely lacking in a very key area. It isn’t food. The food here is only slightly below if not on par with the food you’re going to receive at Waffle House. In fact Huddle House even has a bigger selection of food than our friends at Waffle House (you can something like a country fried steak here which isn’t possible next door). But here’s the rub, the customer service here is nowhere near the quality you get at Waffle House. I’m not sure if they are paid less or what, but on multiple occasions where the restaurant was not even at a quarter capacity I’ve had to wait through an entire meal to receive no refill or checking up on. Not to mention the times I’ve gone in where it was only at half capacity and they were struggling to get orders out in a timely fashion. I once waited an hour for my order with no apology even. If you’re looking for a well-oiled machine to serve you breakfast quickly and with a smile, this place is certainly not it.

Just had a bite at our local Huddle House. I have to say….. Both the food and the service sure beat the socks off our last experience at their competition. The last 2x’s we’ve eaten at the competitions……it was awful! Not the service! But the cook is very obviously new to line cooking.

A cup-ringed, slightly messy table awaited my when we arrived to an otherwise empty location. The atmosphere was passable, but the service was not; in spite of our rather early breakfast, our server didn’t seem to hide well the fact that we felt like a bother.

Absolutely the worst. We ordered a breakfast that comes with a waffle. They were not crowded. One waitress, one cook, and 3 tables. I watched our waffle burn and they threw it in trash. I watch as no one checked the 2nd waffle and watched it burn. The difference this time is the waitress tried to serve me this burnt waffle. I told her what I had seen, told her we had been waiting over 30 min for this

Just walked out after sitting at the table for an hour waiting on food and then watching a family who came in 30 minutes after mine get food before my family did. The cooks act like they don’t know how to do their job. Waitresses act like they don’t care. The sign at the road says “under new management.” Seems like there’s no management at all. I will never go back to this place. Than goodness Waffle House is next door.

The experience here is always good. We have good wait staff and some very good cooks. Mistakes might be made sometimes but it’s a great place to eat and they have a great variety of menu options to choose from.
