I never ate at Huddle House until moving back home to care for my elderly Mom who has dementia and it being the only place open after a certain time, but if the others are anything like this particular one, in Marion, then I have been missing out big time! The staff is always cheerful and attentive and the food is always spectacular! Especially the southwest bowl!! The grill cook takes pride in his work and it shows! I don’t ever take pics of my food, but I couldn’t help myself this time bc it was something straight out of a magazine and it deserved to be shown! And in case you are wondering, the answer is, YES, the food is just as good as it looks!!!

I wish I could give a negative star!!!!! My husband and I just stopped in for brunch. We walked in, not very busy which was nice. We waited 10 minutes for one drink and to place our order. 40 minutes later we were still sitting there waiting for our food. I finally asked the waitress if they had even start our food yet and she said “nope, but you ticket is next” WHAT!?!?!? We sat there and watched the cook who moved like frozen molasses he literally cooked one ticket at a time ‍♀️Are you kidding me??????? I’ve been in the restaurant industry over 30 years, I have never seen anything like it!!! We finally got up and walked out starving!!! The waitress never came back to see if my husband wanted a refill on his drink….no explanation at all. AND, I saved the best part for last……when the girl rang in our food, the cook started slamming dishes around. NO THANK YOU!! To the owner of the place; you need new staff who are friendly and move with a little bit more urgency!!! That was ridiculous and pathetic.

Second time I was there in the last few months and service was awful. We didn’t stick around to even order this time, after waiting 20 minutes to just get coffee and another half hour or so with no order taken. It didn’t used to be this bad. What happened? Might as well close it down.
