My family and I recently dined in, and we enjoyed the food. It’s awesome how you have a choice to eat at two different restaurants in the same building.

I’m a huge orange chicken fan and have eaten it in many different Chinese restaurants. I have to say unequivocally that this was THE BEST orange chicken I have ever had! The chicken was lightly fried and moist. The orange sauce was just the right amount and so flavorful! I will definitely be getting it again every time I’m in Rockport!

Hu Dat & BenchWarmers seems to be the same place; Just in case you’re wondering lol. Worth the wait! The food was hot and fresh and delicious! We didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. We tried the Doughboy, Chicken Sliders, Kimchi Fries, rangoons, Vegetable Lomein, sesame chicken & fried rice! All of it was served hot fresh and tasty. We had to try the fried Oreos and the funnel cake fries, so good! High five to Joe and the crew for giving us a great experience, even short staffed! We’re definitely coming back.

We love this place! Our family eats here every time we come to visit. I love their vegetarian options. My husband loves the fish tacos Benchwarmers offers. Two restaurants in one place! Something for everyone.

I have an hour for my lunch break. The second I clock out I call and order a small lunch, they tell me 20 minutes. I arrive on time, then am ignored for at least 10 minutes (with PLENTY of staff around. It was around noon and it was busy, but they had so many employees walking around). I even walked across the restaurant to ask if I was at the right place to be sure, to which they seemed annoyed answering. Finally a waitress asks me what I’m here for, I told her why, she charged me, then handed me a recite and said “let me go see what she wants” then disappears for (no joke), half an hour. When she came back she told me it’d be out soon, then I waited UNTIL MY BREAK WAS OVER to finally get my food. I didn’t get to eat it AND was late getting back to my job. Thanks HuHut. They say they aren’t fast food, but I wasn’t expecting the ridiculous wait and unprofessional staff. Won’t be going there again (because why would anyone want to wait an hour for a small order.)

The food here is not bad, but the customer service is the worst in rockport next to moon dogs. They have insanely long waits which is understandable but they don’t answer the phone to put your name in or get a Togo order. Mainly the lack of answering the phone is my gripe. They do have good rangoons.

I posted under Bench Warmers but wanted to add it here as well. We love Hu Dat’s. The food is wonderful; we’ve been there for lunch and dinner. They have the best egg drop soup ever. The entire staff is friendly and helpful.

Great menu with something for everyone. My favorite is the Vegetable Fried Rice but I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered. One of our top 5 restaurants in Rockport.
