We ordered a few pounds of every smoked meat plus a couple slabs of ribs for a special birthday gathering. Ordering online was easy! Great communication from ordering through pick up. Meats were well packaged, easy to keep warm until we ate a few hours later, and ALL TASTED AMAZING! Thank you to Jonathan and his crew!

So I was excited to taste the bar b que and it was all bad.. both the barbque sauce and the cole slaw were bland. The meat however was tender. The bake beans had to many onion for my taste. I literally had to doctor everything up for my taste. Banana pudding had a weird texture.. I hate I paid 22.00 for it to taste the way it taste..

I was VERY impressed with our date night dinner tonight! We came in closer to close but that didn’t affect how awesome the service and the food was. We got the bbq nachos, bbq Mac and cheese, the bbq platter, and the peanut butter banana pudding. Started with eating the pulled pork nachos and wow! The chips were fresh and had a good crunch and the toppings! They do NOT skimp on the meat. The bbq Mac was next we opted for pulled pork and the noodle texture was great as well as the flavor. Love that they had optional jalapeños, we definitely added them on. Lastly we got to the rib and brisket and omg. The rib was fall of the bone delicious and melty but also not overly greasy. The brisket is shredded and so so well seasoned. Next time we’re loading up on the brisket it’s totally worth the $2 up charge. The sauce was nice and zingy with a good amount of sweet. Would love a spicy option in the future!

Me and my family had the pulled pork nachos, brisket nachos, pulled pork mac n cheese, and the banana pudding. The flavor of the meat was amazing, smoky, well seasoned and juicy! The portions were the perfect size and well worth the money! Will be going back there again and it nice to have a decent BBQ joint in Dubuque again!

$5 for a small scoop of mac and cheese was very disappointing, and it wasn’t topped with the bacon and crumbs like the menu stated. Update – I see they dropped the price to $4, good to see them make adjustments considering they are a new restaurant.
