Remember when restaurants used to take pride in their food? I’m pretty sure Howard’s back in the day was absolutely fantastic but today. I paid $40 for a captain’s platter. Which was chuckful of seafood unfortunately It was all stuffed into a Styrofoam container. The fries were on the bottom then the shrimp then the scallops and then the fish was just a broken mess on top so by the time I dug. In it it was just one big soggy mess. I have no idea why you would take fried food and stick it into a non breathable Styrofoam container especially a plate that costs $40 very very. Sad too bad I do not recommend the seafood there unless you eat it immediately

It’s with a sadden hart that I can not give Howards a better review. My wife and I for years have made the long trip to Howards at lease once a year and we always did enjoy their service and the food. I know Howards have new owners and they are failing at keeping up with the old ways to cook and load up a plate of food. When I go out to eat and spend my money you better feed me lots of food and don’t hold back that’s why you are a restaurant, just feed me good food. The quality and quantity just isn’t there anymore, soggy French fries what’s up with that? not enough clam strip on my plate. The service is still great. Sorry Howards my wife and I will not be coming back I’m assuming that the new owners think they can make more money by cutting back on the food. I could right more but right now I’m just discussed with Howards, hopefully Howards will sell out to people who likes to cook for people.

The food was NOT good. This was my first time ever eating here. Usually go to another place but they were closed today so figured why not try Howard’s. I use to hear great things about it. The food was a soggy mess. The fish was like mush and the batter was falling off. The chicken wings were suppose to be flavored but weren’t. The chicken tenders were burnt and way over cooked. The fries were soggy and gross. Never trying here again definitely not worth the money!

Went here on a whim, it was also for the nostalgia factor. My party and I ordered a few different menu items ranging from fish to burgers. They do accept card which is good. Two people in my party order fish but the batter fell off and the fish was ok but not great. No one got sick but it wasn’t the best. The burgers were cooked excellently and the sausage burger I got was amazing. Fries were a soggy unsalted mess. I was very unhappy about the fries. The drinks ordered were normal however they were only 3/4 a way full.

Great little stop, kind and fast service. Clean enough for what it is. Nice atmosphere and backyard tent area good for dogs. Decent food and affordable but the food itself could have been much better very basic.

Growing up in WB was great, Howard’s was a staple that served solid food, good portions for a good price. Now, the prices are ridiculous and the food is absolutely disgusting. It’s sad that such an iconic place in the community took a dive. I just consider myself lucky to have experienced Howard’s when it was actually good.

Food is pretty good for the price compared to other places. Ice cream is the best price around for the amount they give you. Even the Baby Size Ice cream is usually enough for most people.

Way overpriced and inedible food. So sad and very angry. I should’ve known. Usually theres no place to park because it’s awesome and delicious. I arrived and nobody was there. A couple cars that’s it. Now I know why. Stay away, buyer beware!!!

I would give it a zero but there was no option to do so. This is not the Howard’s I knew and remembered. The food is terrible just plain awful. Last summer it was just as bad so we knew not to have seafood this time just dogs french fries and onion rings. Unbelievable and again so sad. I grew up in West Brookfield and had so many happy memories from my teens.
