Their food is extremely flavorful and way more authentic then a lot of the other Mediterranean fast casual places. The owner actually came out and spoke to us briefly which was awesome. He didn’t linger, he just came out and checked on us and let us get back to eating. Their salad, sides, and hummus were amazing. I would definitely eat there again. Their picture menu on the wall looks bland, but when you get your actual food it’s flavorful and vibrant! Pleasant quiet atmosphere for lunch.

Very affordable and tasty food! I got the chicken shawarma sandwich and it was good but a bit dry, so next time I would ask for extra sauce. The chicken was really good though, and the sandwich was quite large. Service was super fast and the inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated. Overall great value and I will definitely go back and try some sides next time!

Such a beautiful place, very welcoming. Clean, smiley and great food! We got the beef/lamb shawarma with hommos and baba gnush. The owner (i think that’s the owner)is simply wonderful! This place is officially just turned to be “our spot” for home food i miss so much.

I’ll definitely be coming back! I experienced very friendly customer service and the food is *chef’s kiss*. Absolutely delicious and oh so fresh. They treat you like family here and ask if it’s your first time there. I miscommunciated a change in my order where I wanted to add a side salad and they gave it to me for free, which is unheard of. When I asked to take food to go they were so attentive to make sure I got what I needed. Lovely outdoor patio as well where my friend and I sat to eat and enjoy the weather. So kind and helpful!

This little Moroccan gem is a great place to enjoy falafel, salads, shwarma, tahini, hummus, taboulie, etc. Dine in or take out. Atmosphere is like that of a sandwich shop. Excellent food. I’ll be back.

First visit and we’ll be back for the beef/lamb shawarma, hummus, baba gannoush, fresh salad and other Mediterranean offerings. The sandwich was filled with a house prepared blend of beef and lamb, nicely balanced with Middle Eastern herbs and spices, fresh toppings and a tahini/tzatziki sauce. The best shawarma I’ve ever had. The sides appeared freshly made with nice portions and additional pita bread for dipping. The baba had just the right touch of smokiness and eggplant and was impossible not to finish even after the hearty shawarma. Service was attentive and well ordered.

My husband and I googled Mediterranean restaurants in the area where we were visiting and chose Hovan. When we first entered we looked around and weren’t greeted or given any directives for seating from either of the 2 employees so we seated ourselves. We viewed menu on wall and preceded to wait patiently for cook to finish with a patron. This process took a while. When our orders were finally completed the cook was so involved with conversing with a patron who had just walked in who couldn’t even bag our food. Very unprofessional! There was great expectations at this point due to waiting and not eating. However, the food although some Mediterranean flavors were there it was mediocre at best. Having lived in the Middle East for years the sharwma was not true sharwma just chucks of chicken inside a pita. Will not return due to service and quality of food. Too bad the patrons can’t experience true Mediterranean cuisine.
