This place has been a go-to favorite for my husband and I. We LOVED the food, the staff. We felt like we were home. Today we ordered a carryout and we were informed they were under new ownership. Our favorite staff GONE and apparently they took our favorite recipes with them. I have worked in the service industry for years and It pains me to write a review or even say this, but it was absolutely horrible. NOTHING and I mean NOTHING tasted even close to the amazing food we had gotten for years. Unfortunately we will not return unless our original owner peeps do. The soup was sour and not even edible. The portions were laughable. A little advice to the new management, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!! This amazing gem has gone to hell in a hand basket.

Blink, and you will miss this tiny little gem on the north side of 8 mile. How do I know? I blinked and missed it for 16 years. More the pity, more the pity, because a little gem it is.

Come check out this hole in the wall! Ordered the rueben and was not disappointed. John and Jordyn behind the counter were helpful and friendly. This place is under new ownership and the improvements are not hard to spot, or taste! I will be coming back for more, new favorite!

I ordered a cornedbeef pastrami sandwich, and it was awful. I have been a longtime customer for over 20 years, and unfortunately, I won’t be going back. It’s ok to charge more $, but don’t change the quality of your product.! The young lady that took my order was nice, and the homeless man I bought something to eat for was thankful. It’s been here over 60 yrs and I just recently found it looking for good corned beef sandwiches…so far tried a variety of different meals and have not been disappointed; Reubens, Patty & Tuna Melt, Fish ‘n Chips (labeled Fish Fry one of the best value meals in the area… it’s small (12 stools at the counters)…I highly recommend it for quality food at reasonable prices in a relaxed friendly atmosphere…please give if review helps you – thanks !!!
