I went solely to see the band. I wasn’t happy about the cover, but the band was great, and I had a lot of fun. Good to see local breweries represented on tap; however, the food was not the best. I got some nachos, which were some of worst I’ve ever had. Not really a lot of cheese, but cheese there was was solidified to the paper it was served on. I hope I didn’t eat any. On the other hand, the other dishes I saw served looked quite good like large pieces of chicken on sandwiches and HUGE onion rings. May go back, may not, depending on the entertainment.

Fun place. The food was good. Melissa went out of her way to accommodate. We went there to watch a band. My only complaint was that a $10 cover charge was added to the bill for each person and we had no prior knowledge about it.

Houck’s Grille has existed since 1986. We had been there before once many many years ago and decided to revisit again recently. We were there around 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. They had a private party at their covered outdoor patio; the dining room was about 30% full. The hostess gave us a choice to pick where we wanted to sit which we appreciated.

Grabbed a byo burger today and it was the best burger I’ve had in a long time! Online ordering was easy and it was ready right after I arrived. It was cooked perfectly, hot, crispy bun (not soggy at all), and not greasy either! Loved it. Fries were great too. We’ve been here a few times in the past but now we’ll have to start coming more regularly. Also the bartender that brought out my order was very friendly and welcoming! All around awesome experience.

We had a wedding and reception here and I can’t say enough good things about the food and the people we worked with – all was excellent! We wanted a small venue that would provide food and we could have a DJ. We worked with Megan to transform the room and every request was met with a “yes” by Megan and her team. The follow through was incredible. Everything they promised they did including dietary requests. The guest were impressed with the food and people they came in contact with. I highly recommend!

I’ve been here plenty of times, and it’s a perfectly fine bar and grill. Food is average (which is fine by me), and the service is always just fine. However, The receipt I received gave me the option to use Apple Pay, which I tried to do but was unable to complete the transaction. I asked the server, and she told me that there have been issues so it may not work. So I paid by card, and closed the Apple Pay screen. When I exited out of Apple Pay, I got a notification from that I was charged for the Bill (without tip). There is no way to verify whether or not I got charged twice. (once through Apple Pay without the tip and once through the normal payment method), so now I have to check my statement tomorrow or the next day to see if I was double charged or not. It is exceptionally annoying to have to remind myself to double check that there was not some glitch that would cost me double a meal price. I get that I did not have to choose to pay with Apple Pay, but if it is offered on the receipt, the expectation is that it will work seamlessly. Putting the onus on the customer to ensure that I was charged correctly is lousy business practice. So until you know for sure that everything works, one should not offer it as a potential payment method. I’ve used Apple Pay a bunch and never had an issue, so it’s frustrating that I have a task over the next few days when I was only coming to get dinner and relax.

We recently had my husbands 40th birthday party on the patio at Houck’s grill. It was awesome! Food was delicious and service was great! They make it very easy to book and their party packages are affordable. Also the patio was comfortable and warm during a party in late November. We would definitely book an event here again.

For how pricy the food is, it was all surprisingly mediocre. The broccoli was flavorless and had the distinct hot and cold patches of veggies just reheated in a microwave; I don’t even think they put salt and pepper on it. The mashed potatoes were similarly flavorless. I just wanted to TASTE something – spices, garlic, sauces or dressings, literally anything.

What a wonderful dining experience! I like to experience a restaurant at least 3 times before I write about it. The staff was very professional and you could tell they actually care about the service provided. I have attended a number of business meetings there and went away EVERTIME knowing I will be back! The food. . . GOODNESS the food! Since every human requires food to survive, you may as well enjoy a meal that it memorable, satisfying, and ABSOLUTELY delicious! Houck’s does NOT disappoint. For lunch I recommend the ‘Rachel’ and for dinner I recommend the crab cakes and salmon. Thank you for offering service soo great, I had to write about it! Way to go!
