We’ve tried a lot of the teriyaki places around, and this is the best by far. Portions are good for the price. Lots of options. SUSHI made fresh. Plus it all tastes clean and delicious. It might be a little wait, because good food brings in people, but it’s worth it.

This place will always be my family’s go-to Chinese/Sushi restaurant to dine in or order Togo. The staff is beyond kind, they have gifted my kids cookies and tiny candies everytime they are with me. They always go above and beyond with serving it as quick as possible and the prices are unbeatable anywhere in Tacoma. Seriously the best place to go. You won’t regret!

Excellent food & service as well as friendly staff!! Many wonderful menu options. Chef Choi is my absolute favorite Sushi Chef. I used to frequent a prior restaurant that he worked at for many years. Now, he is the Owner of Hot Teriyaki and I will be stopping in frequently to enjoy his delicious sushi. I can’t wait to return & I highly recommend this business!

Chef Choe (formerly head chef at Kyoto of Japan for 25+ years) has bought his own place. It’s a teriyaki spot in a strip mall but he ALSO applied for and was approved for his sushi license so all your favorite dishes are still here. He and his wife are the sweetest people also. The spicy salmon roll is a simple dish but his take on it, using sashimi style cuts instead of a mashed up filler is DIVINE. Other favorites are the Tacoma Roll, Rainbow Roll and Lakewood Roll. The standard teriyaki restaurant menu items are also top quality. Egg rolls are specifically among the best I’ve ever had (large style).
