We ate barbecue at this restaurant today. The brisket was super moist and very good. The pinto beans were excellent and the staff was extremely friendly. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant in Del Rio, Texas.

Service was good but the brisket was dry and chewey and the ribs had an odd lingering aftertaste , hope I don’t get sick. I was hoping for a better experience since they have been open for 51 years but I guess the current management is trying to cut corners with the food quality to make a few extra bucks, probably won’t be open much longer.

Very clean and large sitting area. Food was just OK. I usually like ribs Better that brisket, but they were almost out of the ribs so they didn’t taste so good. Brisket a little dry. Cole slaw was very fresh and tasted really good. Corn was buttery and delicious.

This is my first time trying this place out, my first impression the cleanliness of the place, thumbs up on that. Second, spacious with plenty of tables to dine in and friendly staff. My choice of food brisket and sausage, with a side of beans and potato salad. The brisket is not the best but not bad as well as the sausage, bbq sauce adds a good kick to the meats. The beans are good as well as the potato salad. Good place to eat.

While passing through Del Rio, I was in the mood for some BBQ. The choice was between Hot Pit and Rudy’s. I have Rudy’s commonly, so I decided to try the local flavor. Bad mistake.
