As a business owner myself – I did every attempt to not leave a negative review. I contacted an employee, Facebook Messenger and email. No response or care. I visited Hot Head Burritos on Feb 7th at 1:00. I was hungry and I already eat fast… 3/4 through my bowl I noticed there was a strange texture/taste. Turned out my chicken was fully raw. 24 hours later, I developed an extreme fever and the sickness lasted 6 days. Salmonella is real, and it was an awful experience. Since nobody within the company cared, I feel obligated to share my experience so it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

If I’m paying $14 for a bowl then I expect the thing to be full atleast, either make the bowls smaller or quit skimping on the ingredients. I paid $14 for a few spoonfuls.

Always great food and service. They’re a bit pricey, but food is still great.

Raised prices to unreasonable levels. 1 dollar per scoop of spicy sauce. Food fairly unflavored without spicy sauce. Tax on people that dont like bland food. No longer worth eating here.

Food tastes ok, hot food wasn’t particularly warm and vegetables looked a little old

I typically have no problem with the Portsmouth Ohio restaurant but tonight the guy gave minuscule portions. The small bowl was maybe half full (chicken, rice, onions, corn) They need to take into consideration how many items one is ordering as to how much of each they put in the bowl. I know it’s hard to know initially but I asked him at the end when I noticed the bowl had such a tiny amount and he said he would have to charge extra. I have always got much better portions than tonight. So $7.25 for about $4.00 or less worth of food. I really hate to leave this review because the 2 guys that are usually there are so good with the portions of food.

Used to love this place but now not so much. Price is higher and you get half as much. Just spent $11 on a bowl and is half empty. Received the smallest portions of not only meat but everything else too. Barely any rice. Half a scoop of corn and Pico. This is the second time so obviously management told them to cut back. I’ve been coming at least 2x a week, not anymore. I won’t be back for awhile. Too expensive and won’t fill you up

Hot Heads is awesome. The only downside is they are almost always low on “fajita” aka vegetables. But, they always load you up with everything else. Definitely recommend the Paleo and Power bowls. The service is always good. The workers listen and give you want you want!

When this place first opened it was booming. They have since changed there ways in service. Everything started having less portions on your meal. When you got double chicken it was like having only one serving. I got my hopes up yesterday because my meal was some how perfect the portion sizes were on point and my meal filled me up so much I couldn’t eat it all. It had more chicken then rice which is perfect. So I went back the next day cause I had a free small queso dip that they advertised on facebook. Below are the two pictures, one of the advertised small they they make you believe you’re getting and 2 the reality.
