We came for lunch today. Ambiance is great. Every dish is delicious. Indeed! The menu has a good balance between spicy and non-spicy option. The staff is friendly and attentive. Good space between the tables that you can comfortably talk to your friends and families. Great for a weekend casual dining.

I was in the mood to eat Sichuan-style Chinese food and decided to dine here. You get a complementary three-variety nuts platter and hot tea here. I ordered a spicy stir-fried dry hotpot and came with white rice. The dish was a bit oily (which is expected) but the flavor was good!

Hot Fish, a Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood. Overall, I would rate my experience as a 3.5 star experience.

Very good Szechuan food, very spicy but they have whole fish, chilly pond fish, etc. And they use the whole fish, and bones, so be prepared to eat carefully. Tasty grilled cabbage and Japanese tofu dishes for the kids without spicy sauce. And that have some deals for gift cards right now, 5-10% bonuses depending on amount. They also have a very good sauteed potato and vinegar sauce.

Ordered a Boiled Fresh Fish for take out, and after open it at home, we found out that there are only fish BONES and SKINS in it! Basically nothing we can eat! ‍♀️ Where are all the flesh goes? Do you only serve good fish for dine in customers? Can’t be more disappointed.

We usually go to Lotus Cafe but since the pandemic shutdown, the food has not been good. So in search of an alternative chinese restaurant we stopped in. It turned out to be a good decision though the menu items need more detail, see below. Service was good, the waitress was attentive and tried to answer as best as she could.

We decided to try out Hot Fish on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was pretty empty, so we got a table right away. Must say they have really well decorated the place, one of nicer interior Chinese restaurants that I have been to.

I will probably give it another try but this time I’m a bit disappointed. One hand is we ordered too much fried stuff so they together were quite oily, and the grilled fish is fresh and tender but flavor is just not bad. On the other hand I’m hoping to taste some authentic Sichuan food but Chuan Bei rice jelly is just a disappointment. Might try some other dishes next time!

The fish dish we got was delicious, a great balance of spicy and flavorful. We also tried the wonton in chili oil but there was barely any filling. The fish dishes are definitely the star!

My wife’s colleague introduced her to this spot so we ordered take-out. I must say…this was one the worst eating experiences in my life. We ordered their Diced Chicken with Hot Pepper ($20.95) and this whole thing was pretty much nothing but pepper and barely any chicken. When we ate all the chicken, the takeout container was still filled w pepper. This was worth like $2.00 in my opinion, why tf would anyone wanna pay $21 for this? The pictures you have on the Yelp page have a lot of chicken but looked nothing like the pictures. I felt so duped and this left me speechless. I will never order from here and will never go anywhere near this restaurant again. TERRIBLE!!!
