Modeled to offer healthy food from scratch. February 2020, Hot Contents opened after 6 months renovation. Unfortunately, after 6 weeks from open it was closed due to COVID19. Holding onto an empty establishment for an entire year and working other jobs, a menu was established. Still modeled to make most items from scratch, while trying to keep prices reasonable. Hot Contents reopened in February 2021. Hot Contents is currently one of few businesses in the area committed to scratch cooking practices. Hopeful, this little establishment will make an imprint in the state of Maine.

I just worked with Hot Contents to cater a hot morning buffet for 35 people – and it went so smoothly you’d never have known it was their first time catering breakfast! We had house-made sausage, bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, French toast, quiche and a work-of-art fruit tray. It was all delicious!! They provided serving utensils and condiments (including maple butter and whipped cream!) and set everything up before the party started. I highly recommend working with Hot Contents for your catering needs!

This place has a wonderful variety of food!! Their curry chicken salad in the summer is a personal favorite and their whoopee pies are a must! (My favorite is the coconut). Their lasagna has been a life saver more than once and I liked the pulled pork shepherds pie a lot than I though I would.

I don’t like the trend of being asked for a tip when I pay by card. You scan your card and they turn the machine around so you can choose how much you want to pay for a tip. You can choose not to tip, of course, but I feel like a jerk, and the whole thing makes me uncomfortable. We tip servers for serving us: running back and forth to the kitchen bringing us drinks and food. When I order at the counter, I’m serving myself. I won’t be stopping there anymore if I don’t have cash on me.

Fantastic food at reasonable rates and decent discounts! Staff was friendly, food was cooked quickly, and it was excellent all around. I highly recommend their steak and cheese, as well as their pies and pastries.

What a great place to eat. The food is incredible and the staff is super friendly. I don’t get into the area much anymore but it is worth the 2 an a half hour drive to eat here. The pastries were incredible and just the right size. I had a steak sub and loved how they toasted the roll and they don’t skimp on the portions to it. I can’t wait until I’m back in the area to try more items off your menu. Thank you for an awesome experience.
