This place was busy even for Friday lunch. We got spicy miso ramen and kurobuta pork bowl with rice. The food was tasty and really well made. The ramen wasn’t very oily but still very flavorful with perfectly boiled jammy eggs. The pork dish was delightful. Flavorful and melt in mouth. They had a pretty extensive drinks menu too which we didn’t try but would be good paired with the food.

“Where do you want to eat? How about that place? I dunno, how about THAT place?” That’s the “You Decide” game we all play when there are an abundance of nearby restaurant choices, such as in Japantown. You see a ramen house, look at the menu, check out the vibe, see if there’s a crowd, then spot another ramen house across the street. What if that one’s better? It can be a lot of pressure lol.

Great spot for a family or casual date, with friendly service, nice decor and low-key atmosphere, and tasty ramen (we really enjoyed the black garlic tonkotsu with kurobuta, especially after adding a little chili sauce). The shrimp tempura was fresh and crisp, the grilled salmon was good, and the yuzu chicken was nice but slightly too sweet. With the door kept open, the air circulation was good. If it wasn’t raining, we would’ve eaten at one of the tables out front.

Really good food, the ramen broth for the tonkatsu was light and flavorful.

Food was alright. The chicken katsu was kinda soggy and the curry was really heavy against the white rice. I liked the ramen a bit more, but it also fell flat on depth.

Our server was really nice. Salmon teriyaki was okay. I would prefer salmon with crunchy skin and with more sauce. Gyozas were very good.

Came on a Friday evening and we were immediately seated. Service was spectacular but the food was even better. Everything was full of flavor and delicious. Inside is cozy and modern. Restrooms onsite and easy parking at a garage close by. This was a great find in Japantown.

It’s a great ramen but not the best in town. The broth was amazing but I have had a better chashu pork

We came in a few minutes after 6 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. We ordered the takoyaki fries, chicken karaage, black garlic ramen with kurobuta pork belly kakuni, and drunken ramen. Everything was really good. The highlights were the really crispy, flavorful fries and the rich, delectable ramen! Highly recommend going for the kurobuta pork belly 🙂

Amazing food. One of my fav Japanese spots in SF. We were impressed with everything we ordered: gyukotsu ramen, pork belly rice, takoyaki, and pork belly bao.
